South Sea islands charter boat captain. And I would only take out people I really liked and charge them so much money that I wouldn't have to pretend to like them for a whole 'nuther year. And then I would spend the rest of the year cruising the islands and camping on the beach with my thoroughly tanned female navigator. And then I would take up flying WWII fighter planes and charging people lots of money to watch me shoot up empty warehouses (with a few cans of foo gas inside) And then I would be a pirate and a race car driver, maybe at the same time...
Sorry to hear that Fog. I lost mine in Dec '08 too.
Realistic answer. Working with CGI graphics. I love combining art, design, and computers to make cool things. I've always loved sci fi and fantasy stuff too.
Porn. C'mon, most guys have to admit to wanting this job. Paid to bang young, hot chicks? (yep, single, engaged, but..having some troubles.. )
Dream job would to be in a research and development position in any company that makes knives, guns, cars, fireworks, or anything else that I could get paid for playing with.
Night watchman in a large abandoned mansion.
I came close once, security guard at a remote entrance to a large ranch. Sitting in the trailer all day or all night, checking work vehicles in and out, and watching the bears...
Finding someone who's willing to pay me verywell to travel the world and do nothing but fly fish....
(Hey... if your gonna' dream... dream big!)
Please PM me if you're hiring...
ON EDIT: When I retired from the Air Force, I said to myself "Self... If you could do anything in the world that you wanted to do, what would it be?"... so I actually DID check into this. It's a tough job to find (I also looked into teaching fly fishing for Orvis and a number of other rod makers... Unfortunately they are 'seasonal positions').
My dream job would be getting to carry around envelopes filled with ten $100 bills, someone else's, or my money if I was rich , and handing them to folks that I felt really needed it!
Always wanted to be able to do that!!!
By process of elimination I can tell you what are not dream jobs. First and foremost, correction officer and number two being LPN. Have a whole bunch of educational opportunities right now as a veteran and Guardsman in New York state. Just haven't decided what I want to pursue. Strangely enough am thinking of trying my hands at being an auto mechanic. My dream though is to own a motorcycle shop.
