Whats your DREAM JOB ??

Had my dream job 20 years ago. Every job since then has been "Bleh."

But the job don't exist anymore, so now I do whatever it takes to get a paycheck.

.

By process of elimination I can tell you what are not dream jobs. First and foremost, correction officer and number two being LPN. Have a whole bunch of educational opportunities right now as a veteran and Guardsman in New York state. Just haven't decided what I want to pursue. Strangely enough am thinking of trying my hands at being an auto mechanic. My dream though is to own a motorcycle shop.

I currently work as a CO and I must say that I've had far worse jobs. It's also good to be in one of the few growth industries during current economic downturn - mind you, Aussie jails are a lot safer than USA.

I picked up a National Geographic one time in the doctor's office and here was a picture of a gent who was a park ranger in the Virgin Islands national park. Now there's a law enforcement job I could get into....

The Kings Own Inventor/Philospher/Whatever.

That position hasn't been around for a while, but I would love to get paid to frig with stuff....or just to think.

I think profit margins have restructured creative/inteligent/radical scientific though to make money. Think of some of the minds in history, and what they did without modern tech. Amazing.

I've always had a dream to be a staff photographer for National Geographic.

Edit: OK, now THAT is weird! I didn't read the 2nd page of this thread, yet TKC and me posted the same thing back to back. Great minds think alike! Nee new nee new

Er, could I say "me three!" :D

Something that merges travel, exploration and nature; something in-between what Michael Palin and Ray Mears do for the BBC but moonlighting as a chef as well!

Hey, an adventurous, traveling researcher (who gets to use different knives) and CAN cook too is a babe magnet!

Professional poker player. And take a break every fall to be a pheasant hunting guide on my own private hunting reserve.

I thank God I have a job at all!

My dream job would be to work for a Think Tank. I'd think all day long!

I would think sitting in a rocking chair in front of an old general store while I whittle and talk to all the townfolk as they pass by. I would think as I go for long walks in the woods with my wife and my dog. I would think as I listen to the waves on the ocean and gaze at the sunset. I would think as the fire dies down and I hear the crickets, and watch the stars overhead.

My dream job is to be "idly rich". I've put out a lot of applications in that field but it seems you have to know someone.

I'd like to be a tour guide on either motorcycle or bicycle tours, preferably in the Alps.

I would love to be one of those people that works for the travel channel... I would be happy travelling the world and staying in 5-star hotels and letting everyone know how good it is!!

Oh well, Samantha Brown already has that job.... Hey, Samantha, need a break??

Another thing I'd love to do is own a real classy pool hall!
No video games and such, just pool tables and even have a couple private rooms for the more serious players and also a couple card rooms.
No one under 18 allowed! :D

I lost my job recently,WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,Now thinking about what i want to do next.

What would you be doing for work if it could be anything ?

Sorry for you loss FOG2.

How about Assistant National Sales Manager for a well respected knife company. Some where in Oregon would be nice. :D

Airline pilot has always been a thought, but with today's political climate I would settle for something along the line of being a bush pilot. The bush pilot dream died when my health went bad.

My ultimate dream job would be to become an astronaut and be one of the lucky few to spend time on the space station.

I've often thought about this, and have come up with several options.

I've decided I really don't like corrections or law enforcement anymore, but I think I could enjoy working in a national park.

There are times I wish I still worked in a vineyard. To think I turned down an offer to go to California to study the wine industry..

And then I come to my last one, which I'm actually planning on going through with, and that's running my own brewery. I'm just learning to appreciate beer, and I think I would ultimately enjoy making my own.
