Since its a dream knife it will never happen, but I'd like a left hand Commander, with Speed-Safe, Spyderco-hole and an Axis-Lock.
I imagine it would open in my pocket if I thought about it.
Ahhh...to dream.
I've a number of various "favorite makers", but my all time favorite is Ed Fowler. My dream knife would be HIS personal knife, several years used, right off his belt at the next Oregon Show. Fingers crossed.
A Michael Walker folder:
* his trademark zipper blade w/ damasteel tight twist & anodized titanium on other side.
* meteorite handles w/ milled-in gold inlays, etc.
* his patented blade lock mechanism (really slick)
The first pic isn't the actual knife I had in mind (the one I dig is one he used in his marketing brochures, went for like $8000), but was the only pic I could find, and a poor one, but just as a directional idea... shows his zipper blade, etc.
A couple more Walker's for grins:
I got to handle a few of his pieces at a Guild show...guy's work is phenomenal. Super machinist AND artist. Very rare.
That...or maybe something by Ray Appleton, or a tortoise shell with gold underlay interframe by Ron Lake. Aaahhh...
It would be My Emerson CQC-6 "Leftie" I been waiting for. My other Dream Knives I already Have, Elishewitz Parrot Beak with TItanium slabs, Elishewitz OM-5 and Terzuola ATCF all of course "Lefties"
First of all, my absolute dream knife would be created when Sal Glesser would ask me to design the "Spyderco/Wouter" collaboration .
It would probably look something along the lines of a Military Jr. with a titanium handle, featuring an integral compression lock, handle 'indentation' for grip changes, and VG-10 steel. Reversible clip left/right + tip up/tip down options. My personal holy grail of knives.
per Valmet: Rados/Marfione MASTERPIECE II with Fossilized Blue Mammoth Ivory Scales Rados Turkish Damascus blade Rados Turkish Damascus Swing Guards Mirror Polished SS chassis with Satin flats and Ceylon Blue Sapphire inlaid button 12/2000 = $6500+
Last week I checked out a Microtech LCC for the first time. This was the first time I had ever seen one in this country. The dealer had 2 models, one for R3000 and one for R4000. Divide that by an exchange rate of about R8.20 to the Dollar and you will see why these prices are impossible to understand, at least for me
