Whats your dream knife?

First Post Here:

Personally, of all the knives I own, the ZT-301 which is in my pocket now is near perfect. I would like it offered in smooth carbon fiber scales and smooth titanium for an easier pocket carry. I'd like it to have a lower pocket carry clip like the SOG trident. And it would be nice if there was a bit more clearance so the thumbstuds could be used but still function as blade stops.

I will be buying a Terzuola ACTF which might surpass the ZT because the Fit and finish on that knife are perfect.

That's darn near perfection. Are you having it made or is it just a thought? I'd love to see the finished product.

I know. I've been mulling and drooling over it for six months now. I finally had enough money to have it made about a month ago, but Christof was in the middle of his big move... I asked him for a quote, it's been a good four weeks now and haven't got a response. I spent all the money on HI and Bruce Culbertson instead... had my dream Hudson Bay Co. Camp Knife built by a genuine canadian maker :) It's in the process. Trying to work the Point Blanket colors into the sheath somewhere.

I picked up a 1095 R Murphy Canadian Belt Knife a few weeks ago, it'll be this one's smaller companion. I may try to patina a maple leaf into the blade... or maybe use gun brown. We'll see. Maybe that's taking things too far...

One along the lines of the original manix with a tri-ad lock and CTS-XHP blade steel. Heh!

All I can do is:

Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream until your dreams come true
Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream until your dream comes through
Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream On Dream On
Dream On Dream On

Tri-Ad lock 10.5 inch folder [6" handle] with ribbed paper micarta slabs on Ti front/rear guard type handle, .200" thick 5160 blade, drop point. Weight in the 10 oz. range, steel spacer for strength and heft, .275" bushed pivot, thumb plate / wave opening with grade 6 plated allen head cap screws all around.

It's possible I would allow Andrew Demko to build it... :D

I will be receiving something similar tomorrow (cept mine isn't Damascus or flamed handles)

Anything made by Bob Loveless.

If forced to pick, I guess a "standard" drop point hunter in stag.

My dream knife exist already. One of a kind Ikoma GA II, problem is, I have no clue who owns it at the moment and it would be several thousand dollars out of my price range anyway.

I thought there was a short run of 10 or 20 of those that sold out quick, but I could be wrong.

Oh, also I can not die before I own this knife as well.

Maker is GT Cecchini (GTC)

I think the RAT-7 is as good a design as you'll find. I'd like to see it used as a "mule team" knife available in Infi, CPM-3V, CPM-M4, etc.

Hmmm, I would have to say my dream knife would be a convexed, satin finished, Swamp Rat Ratmandu in INFI steel.

Chris Reeve Umnumzaan with the "Stars & Stripes" graphics. That would be the ultimate patriotic knife for me

ti frame lock
~3 in blade
textured micarta scale with ti liner on non lock side
opening hole
pivot bushing
some very nice steel like zdp, m4, maybe one of cts's offerings

I want a microtech halo v. Have always wanted one since I learned of them when I began collecting. I dont need any $1000 knives (although it would be nice!). Production striders and microtechs are about as high as I intend on going.

I second that I'm good with some striders and microtechs. I would love to have a spetsnaz ballistic knife more then any other but considering how illegal they are that will probably never happen.

It would have a leaf shaped, full-flat ground blade (a la Kershaw Cyclone or Spyderco Manix), with sharpening choil, Titanium framelock, preferably a thin lignum vitae handle scale on the non-lock side, a lanyard hole, not made in a sweatshop, and easy to find a replacement.

Actually, A Sebenza w/ lignum vitae inlays would be pretty much the closest thing I can think of...

Well, as long as it's a dream knife, might as well dream big. How about Loveless New Orleans Boot knife with amber stag.

Bob Loveless Big Bear Junior. MSRP 25,000.:eek::eek:. Way out of my price range and out of reach. And that nude girl:p on the blade's spine - out of the world. Nobody does it this way. He stopped making knives a long time ago. Greatest knife maker to my list. I drool every time I look at that picture:p:).
