What's your EDC pen ?

What model is that?

That is one of my favourite pens. I do not have a knurled grip area so that is why I am asking.

I lost my first Rotring and hat to buy another all the way from Greece!

My other pens are the Benchmade in stainless and the Ti 4seven pen. Eyeing a nice Mont Blanc 146... maybe later...

/C.
If I'm not mistaken, one could replace the barrel on said pen with a knurled one from the 600 series. Don't know if this was the case.

Thanks, I am going to try to find some more info if replacing the barrel might work.

I knurled the grip on my Benchmade with a file and found out that I really like that kind of grip.

Hey guys, this will not work. The 600 series has a different screw size and overall system.

Colinz,

the version you have (without the knurled grip) is the newer model. Other than that, it is a very similar pen. I have a couple of the smooth grip ones as well, nice pens, too. I prefer the knurled ones though for that little extra "grippiness".

The knurled grip area model is harder to find - they pop up on the internet occasionally though, keep your eyes open. It is not the 600 Model but was simply called trio pen as far as I know. I don't know if this model has a specific name, I haven't come across it though.

Best regards,

ll.

I also found out something else: It is not possible to exchange the barrels between the two non-600 trio pens either. The knurled multipen trio and the newer smooth multipen trio (also called trio pen "hi-lite") have a slightly different barrel size. So if you want the knurled multipen trio you have to find one. Sadly no rotring lego :( .

best regards,

ll.

And there the answer! Thanks for the clarification. Hopaco and McWhorter's are no longer around, I think, that's where I used to see these said pens once before.

Sharpie pen for financial documents

Whatever gel pen Costco has in stock the rest of the time....

Been carryin' a Tuffwriter for about a year now. On my second refill. Only thing I don't like is the o-rings suck & it only comes with 1...

I was looking at the tuff writer pens. I have not picked one up for two reasons.... I wish the cap screwed on both ends and I would like a stainless steel version. I think hinderer really hit a home run w/ these pens.

I alternate between a Maxmadco bolt-action pen, and a County Comm Embassy SS v2. Here's a group shot:

Picked up a hinderer ss investigator at blade and it's ideal. I'm a big guy and it's a small pen but big enough to write with or strike if necessary-the extreme duty is to large for pocket edc IMHO, had to see them in person to be certain

I bought a Lamy Safari after reading recommendations from this thread. The green was a bit too bright for me and so far I'm really liking the pen.
