Whats your favorite assisted opening knife?

I have 2 AO knives (Leek, CRKT Ichi) and while AO is fun for a while, I never saw an advantage over a smooth single handed knife, such as for example my Spydercos.

I would have to say it's a toss up between my Kershaw Leek or my Buck Sirus... The Buck would win hans down except I don't care for the saftey lever... Just a preference thing!

Did anybody try the new schrade otf spring assist? I had my wife get me one for Christmas just to add to my collection and I am very impressed with the quality, it's my first schrade. The lock up is rock solid, it was shaving sharp out of the box and it rockets right out the front with authority. For a dirt cheap knife it's excellent.

No love for the Offset?

More often than not, my AO of choice is the Ti/ZDP Mini-Cyclone.

I own only a few AO knives, all by Kershaw. I own a Chive, Leek Scallion, and Blackout. Of the lot, I like the Blackout. Its action is very fast and strong, and it feels more comfortable to me than the others. I would have preferred the blade be satin-finished and not black, but then it wouldn't be the Blackout! :) I've owned it since around 2002, and it still fires and locks up as good as ever.

Have many form several different makers, my SOG Twitch XL keeps finding it's way back into my pocket:thumbup:

The Kershaw Ken Onion models are fantastic, and depending on appropriate size, I've always got a Leek, Shallot, or Blur in my right front pocket. These knives feel solid and classic--I can't imagine ever growing tired of them.

But if you're seriously thinking about that bright red "OCC" model, well, let's just say that I'm a ninja and you're almost certainly a pirate. :D
