What's Your Favorite Barlow?

I'll crack on and take some pics in a minute.
Great too see a couple of the GEC 25s WLST's.
Our long lost friend pmew Paul had an amazing collection of 25s...he strayed through the Porchenberg Castle gates way back and is MIA...Hoping yer all good Mate.( he was a copper on the Outer Hebrides).
I swapped a pair of 25s with him...1× goldenrod sawcut and 1× Elk...for second BF TC Barlow micarta with which I did a gaw....I think he had most of the 25s.
The 4 most Barlowy ones...I like how the 2017 BF micarta has aged.The one labelled BARLOW is Bexfield Sheffield....ironically its curved frame and shortyshort bolsters probably disqualify it from competing at the Barlompics.

And this is my first Charlow...it hails from the Pre Charlossic age....with wonderful Walnut scales made from an old rifle stock.Its my favourite Barlow.

Whenever I hear (or read) "Barlow", I think Case, so I guess any one of number of Case's would be my favorite.

While I learned it's technically a Barlow I love this new Arthur wright clip point Ebony scaled Barlow. The other a wright I got was very tight and had some fit and finish issues but didn't affect the function but this one is perfect pull and fit and finish.

The horizontal sawcut jigging is interesting. I have seen this on other Case's, but, IIRC, all the brown bone sawcut Case Barlows I've seen have vertical jigging. I remember one Case I saw a pic of that had vertical jigging on one side and horizontal on the other. Not sure of the pattern it was on. Maybe a copperhead.

Not my favorite but I dig this simple two blade Boker. Wonder if the incomplete Tree Brand bolster stamp would have landed it in a seconds or blem box in its day.

Some really fantastic collections and just outstanding Barlow's in general here. Mine pales in comparison, but I love what I have.

Beautiful, Steve, as good as a Barlow ever needs to be. The sunset bone is some of Case's best.
