What's Your Favorite Benchmade?

EDC is a ritter mini grip, also have a full size ritter and a mini grip m390...all are great knives but the mini ritter is my fav...

Out of mine..

..it's a toss-up between the 710HS and 558M2-600. The M2 Mini Ritter sees more pocket time due to its compact size.

Two that are always in my pocket at home- Stryker and 3100. Next in line- 556 Mini Grip OD w/D2 Cabelas .

I've sold off both large Grips I owned years ago. The big empty plastic ball of a handle feels chintzy.

What sealed the deal for me is - one day I tool off the pocket clip on one of them for some reason and I couldn't deploy the blade. The handle was too large and slippery and popped out off my hand, even with the mild detent.

Alternative handle soutions (never thought of tape...hmm) were cost prohibitive. :thumbdn:

If they came with flat G-10 scales, I'd be all over one again. :)

I only own three right now, and they are by far my favorites. 710 (my birthday, by the way, and it's 154CM), the full size Ritter Griptilian, and the new Benchmade 53. I have owned lots of models, but I really liked the full size Skirmish and Rukus. I've had a couple of 710's, ATS34/154CM/D2, only one Ritter Grip I think.

Simple, the 940, feather weight, slim and trip, big blade, open fast, great lockup, fully ambidextrous, cool colors, high end steel, nice feel in the hand.

I'd like to see that white handle with the black blade cuz of the huge contrast. It looks good where it' sitting though! :D

Are you familiar with the 943? If so, do you think the two knives have the same size scales, weight, and feel, or is there a big difference?

My favorite is the 530. I have not been able find a knife like it. Second place is a tie between 805 TSEK recently provided by KW and a 14205 I picked up here with satin blade and thick green handles (swapped blades).

Dont have a picture of the 14205 though

I have a 943, the feel is almost identical, accept that since the 940s blade has a bit more weight at the tip due to the wider blade it come out with a hair more power. I personally like the blade shape of the 940 better for utility and food prep more due to the belly in the blade, but they are very similar.

I don't own this knife but would love to.

I've bought BM 950-1 Rift recently and it looks like it is very good knife for its price. Has poor edge bevel but diamond sharpmaker stones did great job ;)
