Whats your favorite civivi?

I have a civivi elementum in d2 green mircarta and it's one of my favorite edc, edge holds good and if I don't want to use the flipper I do the 2 hand opening. There are defiantly more civivis on my to get list. My favorite is the elementum as of now.

For all the praise Civivi gets in the budget community, their grinds are still not appreciated enough. You can spend (and I have) over $200 on a USA made knife from Benchmade, Spyderco, etc that won't have anywhere close to the thin hollow grinds that civivi is pulling off. Often this will result in a knife with geometry that cuts far above its weight in terms of materials and blade steel.

When it comes to my favorite? Its probably between the Ortis, the Riffle, and the Brazen. Great actions on all of them and they really do cut above their weight. I do like the elementum as everyone else does but its a bit small for my hand size and as a result sees less pocket time as a primary folding knife.

Seeing all these pictures has me thinking about picking up another civivi though. That Incite looks pretty compelling. Too bad most of the models look to be discontinued.

I don't have any WE product as yet , but the Governor and Incite interest me for the longer blades .

Decent Damascus at such a price is also attractive (pun intended) .
I m carrying my Governor. Very well built knife. Uses washers rather than bearings, which I think is a plus. The D2 in this blade seems to hold an edge better than the D2 blade of my Rat1.

I m looking at the Brazen now.

The Brazen is great. Ground thin, good ergos, and pretty exceptional action. And you get 14C28N which I like a lot more than D2. You wont be disappointed.

The Rustic Gent is a very good example

I'd like to get another Civivi that is as big or bigger than the Praxis. The Asticus looks like the only option. Am I missing one or two?

The Naja is bigger than the Praxis. It was one of their initial offerings alongside the Praxis and Baklash. It has a lovely blade and is very comfortable in hand. I have two of them. I sent one in for testing. That may be the testing that Zookie Zookie mentioned previously. Between that and my own anecdotal use, I can confirm that WE has perfected the heat treatment for 9Cr18Mov. The Naja is sadly discontinued but it can still be found if you look around or keep an eye out on the secondary market.

The Incite is similar in size to the Praxis. I don't love D2 but the different handle materials look nice. If they ever do a stainless version of the Incite (besides Damascus) then I'll be very interested.

Thank you! I'll be on the lookout.

The shredder looks like a slightly larger Dogma. I had one of those that I ended up giving as a gift but it was a nice little knife. Might pick up a rustic gent some day…
Edit: forgot about the Brazen tanto, that would be more practical also.

Only one I have is the button lock elementum. It’s a great little knife and I’m a sucker for 14c28n steel. I prefer it over a lot of the super steels out there!
