Whats your favorite flipper?

Favorite flipper action to date was the Domino I just didn't like the knife.

Favorite knife with a flipper is probably the mini kwaiken. I just got it so I need a little more time with it.

I handled my buddy's Steelcraft Kwaiken....purely awesome flipper! It whoops the two flippers I currently have and that have been mentioned here -- ZT 0450 and ZT 0452cf -- in smoothness, IMO.

I've been trying to resist ordering that Kwaiken, though, because I'm waiting on the soon-to-be-released Steelcraft mini Bodega (3" flipper). Tough times, huh....LOL :)

In the $200 or so range there are a few standouts

ZT 800 series, ZT0452CF/0450, Reate Hills and D9

Out of all of those, my 0452CF, with a cleaning of the pivot and some lube, flips the smoothest of them all.

None really. In reverse grip flipper always gets in the way digs into palm and bugs the crap out of me. ZT makes a bunch of descent ones. 0301 feels the best in every grip that I've had and thats been quite a few. Best assisted opening knife ive had or liked. 0801's nice too. More or less done with flippers I believe unless something really catches my fancy. They do have a certain cool factor to them though. They are nice but prefer axis/lockbacks. Think like those Bokers up top cause looks like the flippers are cut down and out of way of palm/fingers.

Most satisfying flip and close by a mile is the Viper Vox Kyomi. That thing makes a nice noise on open and close.

Fastest and smoothest action is my ZT 0450. I carry this thing everywhere. Love it.

Love my 450, 452cf, 562cf, Brous VR-71, Domino and all black Southard......all literally amazing flippers!!
Joe

Still need to work in the detent a bit, but the action on this guy is amazing.

Easily the Skyline of all the knives I've handled. Just goes to show you don't need to drop 500 bucks for a good flipper:p

another vote for zt 0801.

zt 0561 comes as a close second.

zt 0452cf is good too, but I feel the detent is a bit too strong for such a light knife.

I've gotta go with the Begg Steelcraft Kwaiken. Best flipper action of any of them. It flips like a monster and this comes from someone who has multiple flippers from all the usual players. When that thing fires out and locks into place, you know you've deployed a KNIFE!

My wallet keeps telling me I don't need the upcoming Begg Steelcraft Bodega...my heart keeps telling me I can't live without it!

Shirogorov 95T. Had this one for a good while now and I still haven't found anything that flips better overall. Has a superbly fluid and fast action to it, and the detent is strong without being at all abrupt or hard to flip in the slightest.

Hard to beat that!
