The kwaiken open fast all have strong detents. I like them more for the way they carry than the flipping action as I noted though. There are better flippers but none of them carry as well as the urban trapper or kwaikens. For the money the Kizer I had was a great value.
 
I only have a few, but currently my favorite flipper is the CRKT Ripple. Excellent quality and design.

The UT and kwaikens fit my lifestyle well! I usually don't need or want a honking big knife on my person. It took about two years to admit that as I love honking big knives... Lol

I'm surprised yours was the only mention of shirogorov. I haven't owned one but people always rave how smooth they are, or refer to them as the Sebenza of flippers.
 
I have been thinking about and looking at flippers for a while. Seems like ZT had the most votes in this thread. I have looked at ZTs a few times. Maybe it's time to pick one and give it a try.
