It's always interesting to me to hear what attributes make a folder a person's favorite. It seems that everybody has slightly different needs and aesthetic sensibilities (and disposable income
), and these are reflected in their choice of knives.
For me, it's the CRKT M16-03T. It's small enough for everyday carry, but still large enough to do nearly everything that I need a knife to do. It's relatively lightweight with the titanium handles, but it's also solid as a rock. And don't even get me started on the Carson flipper. I can open with thumbstuds pretty damn fast if I do say so, but the flipper is not only faster but also so easy that just about everybody that I hand it to is able to crack it open on their first try. Then their faces brighten...there's just something about opening a knife WITH AUTHORITY. All in all, my M16 just screams to be used. It's 100% about function -- a tool -- and with only $70 invested, I'm not afraid to put it to hard use.
