What's your favorite frame-lock folder?

Just like the title says...

What's your favorite frame-lock (and post pics if you've got'em). :)

Hi Allen,

Chris Reeve created and popularized the lock you are referring to. I purchased one of his "Lock 45", the "First Frame-Lock" 30 years ago.

At Spyderco, we've been refering to the "Frame-Lock" as a "RIL" or Reeve (style) Integral Lock. We feel that we could at least give the man credit for his creation.

Just a thought to share.

That was very interesting, Sal. And, respectful of Chris. Thank you for the post.

Of the RIL (Good point Sal) knives I own, I would say my Emerson CQC-12 sees the most EDC time, followed by my Emerson HD-7.

That said, my Boker Wharcom gets an honorable mention for a good knife at a great price.

Thanks for the story Sal !

I really have a problem to answer the initial question...
I'l the happy owner of a nice bunch of custom framelock and for me it's as easy as "what's your favourite child ?". OK, I don't have any child now but...know what I mean ?
;)

WOW that is some radical work to that BM630 up there! I can't decide between my Kershaw SG2 Ti framelock JYDII or the Kershaw Blue Ti Bump. One of those two.

Thanks... I did that in early 06. That was the first of my career as a knife tweaker. The pic is an "after" ... Richard j cleaned it up for me.

Here is the "before"

kind of a "bullnose" double edge.

Here's my favorite folder. DDR Gunhammer Torpedo with Superconductor insert.

i have: lightfoot, sebenzas, sng, smf.

i just scored an xm18, so ill wait until it arrives to decide which is my favorite.

;)

Although it's a pretty big knife the BM Skirmish 630 is assembled and built like a custom knife. The fit and finish in all areas is as good or better than some customs I've seen.

Reek, please tell me where you got that Skirmish, I've never seen one in that color before. That looks amazing.

I don't own any framelocks right now, but the ones that I owned that were my favorites were the Sebenza, Skirmish, and the ZT 0300.
