Blur in CPM 154. All around it suits me and my needs. Of course I've been carrying one Blur or another since my first black grip/440A model. It was the first time I really saw what 440A could do with a excellent heat treatment. The SG2 is amazing as a cutter but I baby it. The S60V Blur came from Thomas so it's a safe queen even though it's not the 1 of 14 like some here have. Coming from Thomas I wouldn't trade it for any knife made though. The S30 version is nice, a good all around user too, like the CPM 154. One of the two 13C versions I have is a user and I like that steel in any knife I've had it in. So, for now, the CPM 154 is it.
I've also been using the hell out of a speedform 2. I've brought it down to a zero grind and in removing all that steel, and taking it up to 8,000 grit I've seen no inclusions or imperfections in the steel. Nothing but fine grained, small carbide ( relatively speaking as it has substantial amounts of vanadium carbides and great wear resistance) performance. I like clean steels and Elmax for sure is one. A lot of steels fail the test when brought up to very high grits but this sure didn't. It's big brother Speedform is beautiful, but I feel better modifying and scratching up the cheaper, thinner bladed speedform 2.
