Impossible question - But it made me realize that I haven't left the house without my Manix2 LW S110v since it was released... be it in my pocket, bag, or truck, its not far. Rarely my main carry, but always present.

Folding - I never thought it would be but my PM2 gets carried more than any other folder. Close second is my SAK Farmer.

Fixed - Tight race between my Falkniven S1 and BK15. That being said, I reach for my BK15 more than the S1 when not hiking.

Probably my "beater" (according to the seller) Caly 3.5 SB I found on the Exchange for $50. There's nothing wrong with it...just a gorgeous patina and slightly discolored G10 scales. I love the weathered/distressed look! I took it out of the box, stropped it and have been splitting hairs ever since.

I just picked up a Buck 482 at a garage sale a few weeks back for a couple of dollars. USA Made and takes a scary edge too! My go to knife now while the ol' Strider SnG rides back up now.

For a folder its my Les George VECP. One of his recent runs with a black nlade. I cut my daughter's umbilical cord with it when she was born.

For my fixed it is me Survive! Knives 5.1 3V steel and Blaze Orange handles.

I'm on a Spyderco craze right now.
-Spyderco Mantra: no longer own it, but it will always be my favorite.
-Spyderco Paramilitary 2. Honestly love everything about it.
-Spyderco Delica 4 because it is so perfect for edc
-Victorinox fieldmaster 2


For fixed knives, I am pleas fault surprised with my DPX Gear HEFT 4. I have never owned a knife that could take so much abuse. That Niolox steel is really something. And takes a keen edge, and has great edge retention IMHO

I have a lot of fixed blades that I bought just because I liked the looks. It would be too hard to pick one of those so I'll pick from folders.


I've said for a long time that my Benchmade 913 is my favorite. Everything about it works well for me. I was really tempted to buy one of the new M4 Strykers but decided to stay with my old faithfuls.

It would be real easy for me to say Manix 2 XL because it is a very interesting knife and works well for me. It is a little hard to carry than some of my other knives, and could be considered a bit big for some situations.

Or I could say "blue" S110V PM2 which is probably the most practical for my normal use.
