What's your favorite machete?

I keep a Condor Eco-Light Machete in my work van for clearing overgrown weeds and vines and branches around electrical transformers and meter loops. Works great!

I also have a Fiddleback 12" with OD green handle that's great. Haven't had much chance to use it however.:o Also need to get a sheath for it.

My 18" GI Ontario. It's the only real machete I have atm. I've owned a few cheapo Wally machete's and a Tramontina machete that I gave to a friend. The Tram was great also but I like the thicker and stiffer blade of the Ontario machete. I've been eyeing the 14" Condor El Salvador and Imacasa 14" Daga machetes for awhile now though but haven't taken the time to pick them up. I've also been looking at the Bellotto Cocoa machetes but I haven't heard much about them so I don't know their quality.

So far it's my 12" Imacasa/Gavilan..... great little machete. When I re-handle my Ontario that'll probably take over but I've got a bunch of machete's that have yet to see any action. Definitely like the 14" range and under, gotta take Joe's advice and try out 16".

For me this is a simple as 1, 2, 3.

#1 - Condor Golok

#2 - Cold Steel Kukri Machete

#3 - Kabar Kukri Machete

The only machete i have is an Ontario "US Army" version and it has the poly sheath. It's awesome, though it's in storage a long way away from me.

my favorite 3 machetes are as follows. 1. bill siegle bush sword 2. fiddleback 12 incher 3. koyote Leukuchete or possibly the bolochete (I can never remember) but I love all 3. they are absolutely path clearing machines. here are some pics. not good like most of you fellas but I suck with a camera lol

thanks fmajor007. they are my favorite 3 and the little one loves chopping so I have to support her habit (yeah yeah ...thats it...her habit)

The Condor etched Damascus, It is the sharpest machete out of the box the I've encountered.

No pictures:( But BHK's machete is one of the sweeter ones I've used in a long time and I really like the extra handle length...plus the sheath is one of the best; I really want to get my hands on a Fiddleback 12-incher (that doesn't sound right:D).

Not really a machete, but BRKT's Golok has been my backpacking staple when needing to process more wood for an open fire...it's a battoning beast!
