What's your favorite Mammal??

Why mammaries of course. I understand they usually come in pairs. They're warm, soft, and very lovable. The single is reffered to as the mammal, while a pair of mammaries is the norm.....

Ahhh, sweet mammaries....

As for wild animals, i'd have to go with Hippo. Because they just don't care.

Yeah I guess, unless of course you happen to encroach on their territory or get between them and water. Then they get real concerned in a hurry, and it ain't pretty.

My favorite wild mammal is the wolf. Smart, works as a team (could be a loner), adaptable, and just plain old wild.

My favorite overall mammal is my American Staffordshire Terrier.:D
(but not when he hogs the remote and druels all over my pillow:mad: )

Mine was this wild half bobcat half wild cat. He would come over to eat from across the road. I would put food out for him and I would sit still and talk to him calmly until he ate. I kept getting closer and closer to the food and eventually he would come and eat. Finally I could touch him for a moment. This went on for weeks until he would allow me to pet him. But he would also bite me sometimes just to sort of say "I'm the boss" it didn't bleed but sort of scared me the first few times. When I stroked him he would purr so loud and would drool all over the place. I would leave the door of the house open for him and he would slowly inch his way in to see what I was up to. I very slowly but surely won that cat over. He would run all over real fast and then look at me to see if I was laughing at him. And if any bird or squirrel or rabbit dared come into the yard he would instinctively crouch down into attack mode and catch it. This cat loved me so much that when I drove up and he was 200 yards away he would come to me on a dead run without me saying a word. I have had dogs before but this cat was the coolest thing I ever had. It really broke my heart to leave him to come out here to Washington from Georgia but I had to. There was no way you could pick him up much less put him in a cage. He was huge. My dad died a couple of years back and when I went to the funeral I went back to where I lived but he was no where to be found. Which was good because I never got a chance to say goodbye to him. He was going off for weeks at a time and I left while he was gone. And I still would not know how to say goodbye. That my friends is the best wild animal I have ever known in my life.

Wild: Wolves

Domesticated: Dogs.

Badgers, north american, eurasian, african honey badgers, doesn't matter, love badgers. (And yes I know about the damn dancing badger... )

Ferrets, weasels, fishers, martens etc. Wolverines, skunks & porcupines. Pretty much any small fry with a big attitude.

And as for eating, goat is gooood! :D

Cool story Magneto. Like the username too.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here but i love Opossums. I live in a big city 10 miles from any woods and there are Opossums everywhere in our area....they adapt very well and I have some living on my property...My dog, a Malamute, brought a baby one in the house one time and dropped it at my feet while we were all eating dinner. The wife screamed that our dog killed it...It really...REALLY...looked dead, mouth open, tongue out and every thing..I picked it up with a shovel and put it opn the front porch and told my wife to look out the window at it...after about 2 minutes it sat up...looked around and ambled off.....very cool survivor instinct.

This one's easy...

The Paca

My favorite girl, Cajun, a Lab/Springer mix. As far as local wild animals go, I guess I'm partial to coyotes although they're responsible for the disappearance of about ten of our cats in the last 20 years. But they are smart, cagey, very elusive and seldom seen, and they're the major canine predator in these parts. Bigger than the western coyote, males sometimes get up to around 70 pounds. Often, during full moons, we'll hear them out in the woods travelling through, howling, cackling, chortling like a merry band of maniacs.
