What's your favorite PRODUCTION folder and fixed blade?

Folder: Toss up between a PE Spyderco Police and SAK Camper, each have a place and are used extensively.

Fixed: Busse BAIII, 3/16", clip point

Folders - Hard to decide. If I had to keep one, and get rid of the rest, it'd be my Chinook II.

Fixed blade - Camillus OVB any size.

I have a similar knife that is one of my favorites by Hen and Rooster with a stag handle.

My wife bought it for me when we first got married, about 16 years ago.

As a favorite folder it would be a tossup between that and a stag handled Case Sharktooth that I got from my parents back in the late 70's or early 80's.

My favorite fixed blade is a small cheap buck knife that has a hard plastic case ( looks like a steak knife). I have many more expensive knives but I use that one most often.

Production folder: Sebbie/ strictly production: Buck/Mayo TNT
Production Fixed blade: Benchmade Rant

I'll chime in:

Folder: toss up between Buck/Mayo TNT and Buck/Strider Mini Tanto (two halves of a whole for my money)
Fixed: I don't actually own any production fixed blades- Production companies don't tend to make the kind of knives I like to own/carry. If I had to pick one, though, it would be a Buck Vanguard. It's just comfy- too bad the steel isn't the best. Passable, yes, but hardly the best.

my favorite production folder would have to be the actress playing puck in the run of A Midsummers Night Dream I'm working on. She is a capeoista and is very flexible. (get your mind out of the gutter, this isn't W&C)

sorry, stupid theater joke.

seriously though, my favorite production folder would have to be my Boker Infinity, I think that it might have been replaced by the EDI Genesis ll had I kept it.

and I don't own any fixed blades. though I do throughly enjoy my sabatier carbon steel kitchen knives.

Favorite folder: Today (can change daily, at least) - a combination of the Victorinox SAK Fisherman (not necessarily the highest end SAK I own but the most used) and Benchmade Apparition (this especially changes daily)

Favorite fixed: SOG Seal 2000

I've ordered my first Himalayan Import kukri, which is a 15" Ang Khola yesterday. Today, I added an 18" Malla kukri also from HI, with probably more to come. I'm on a kukri kick right now, so my fixed blade favorite will probably change daily also.

Fav production folder: Emerson CQC-11
(a very close second, BM 710)

after years of collecting folders and finally getting the fixed blade bug,
Fav production fixed: Swamp Rat Howling Rat

Folder: Buck 110... simple, classic and built like a tank. I've got 8 and am strongly considering adding an Alaskan Guide within the next week or so.

Fixed: I don't know, I'm not a big fan of fixed blades... I've only got three (but those three get used hard). Of the three, the classic leather-washer handled, USMC Ka-Bar is probably my favorite.

Only one? I give up :(

:)

As on today:

folder - Cabelas' regular Griptilian

fixed - Nimravus HS

I too have recently gotten addicted to khukuri, and to say I've overspent on the addiction is an understatement.
Hope the wire doesn't find out!!!! So...My fixed blade favorite is up in the air.

Folder: Bulldog cattle knife with really pretty thick stag scales. I can't understand people choosing buck knives as their favorites. In my opinion buck knives stink...ie the steel is not passable and it ruins the knife. I do however give a buck knife to one particularly distasteful inlaw each year though. Clueless

Favorite edc folder- Victorinox soldier.

Fixed blade- Ontario 12 machete. If the sak can't handle it, then I use the Ontario.

Either one can be replaced on the road at the next town with a sporting goods or surplus store. In addition to all camp chores, the 12 inch machete makes a pretty good SD tool if you know quarte from tirce. Both knives are low on radar too.

Folder-- Queen Stag Canoe
Fixed--- BRKT Mini-Canadian
...I tend not to do "tactical"...at my age with arthritis it takes just as long to open an axis lock as it does a slipjoint ! ;) :D

Make it count, give your in-law a gerber.

and

which steel: s30v, 440c, bg42, or ats-34? There is more to a knife than the steel. ( or ceramic in my case)
