What's your favorite PRODUCTION folder and fixed blade?

Well, for me the Bucks are nice. I think if you buy the CCC bucks at wallyworld you may not be happy, but what's not to like? ATS-34, S30V, BG42. My knives are VERY nice. I'm sorry you've apparently gotten stuck with crap, but good Bucks are out there.

I've never had a bad Buck either - Bucklite, 110, 119, etc. have all been great. I do own some Bucks that I consider "uninspired", like the Mini-Buck and Protege, but they're decent considering the prices.

A combination of knives that already have been mentioned:

Folder - Camillus Cuda Maxx Bowie
Fixed Blade - Spyderco Fred Perrin

Both awesome cutters.

Production folder - Buck 110

Out of production folder - Buck 560

Unless of course someone wants to donate a Buck 172

Fixed Blade - SR Camp Tramp (looking for someone to donate one of those too) :)

Seriously, I have a Buck Mayo 172 but it is just too nice and I won't carry it. Got it in a trade. Just seem to fall back on the 110's and 560's for most things I do, and they sharpen up real fast for me on the lansky.

Thats a lot to think about. For me, the Sebenza and the Buck 110 would be my top folders and my Bark River Mini Canadian would be top fixed.I have other good fixers, but the Mini C gets used the most of them.
I have a nice custom fixed blade that actually gets used the most, but that wasnt the question.

Folder: it's between the BM RitterGrip or the AG Russell Featherweight with the utility blade. The Featherweight probably edges out the Rittergrip for me. I often carry both. Very different knives and blades.

Fixed: it's between the BRKT OMF or the BRKT Northstar. I carry the OMF more, but I think the Northstar is better. Just not as convenient to carry for me.

Well, if I limit myself to knives I actually own:

Favorite Folder - Spyderco Delica with combination edge. My favorite EDC knife. Perfect size, great edge, easy opening. Just feels right in my hand.:D

Favorite Fixed - Cold Steel Magnum Tanto II in San Mai III. Not a particularly practical blade (except for combat use) but I really like the lines and balance of this knife.

Fixed -- I actually only own one factory/production fixed blade, a BK&T, Jerry Fisk designed BK-5 Magnum Camp -- mine doesn't have a Jerry Fisk convex edge, though. If I can pick something mid-tech, then it would have to be the CF/DLC mid-tech Crowfoot I bought from Rob Simonich at the 2002 SouthEastern Show.

Folder -- I think I'd have to choose the Spyderco/Terzoula Starmate as favorite, even though I think that the ParaMilitary is a better knife.

By far my favorite folder was the Spyderco/Bob Lum Chinese Folder. Sure wish I would have held on to it!
