whats YOUR favorite spyderco and why?

The Classic Military
The Black Plain Edge Blade configured with the Digi-Camo G-10 scales along with the Long-standing Legacy of the mighty Spyderco Military. This is my favorite Spyderco Creation

I love all my spydies but my #1 favorite and most used is my PE Pacific Salt, love the lightweight linerless Endura size handle and H1 steel.

Right now probably the Dragonfly in green G-10. So small and mechanically beautiful. I wish they made it in carbon fiber though-- that would be amazing.

I daily carry a Ti Military these days but I miss my Manix 1 bad. I traded it to a pipeliner for a piece of 1/2" thick ,30" diameter, 6 and a half foot long piece of seamless pipe for my smoker project. Good trade, but I liked that(pocket) knife better than any I have ever had . When you opened that sucker with a mighty CLACK! and the way the grip just locked your hand in the "pocket" it was almost like having a folding fixed blade.

Gotta be the Delica. Fits my hand like it was made for me, disappears into my pocket, doesn't scare the locals, and takes an edge like nothing else I own.

Spyderco UKPK. I have EDC'd this thing every day for the last 8 months or so, which makes it my longest EDC. I just can't leave it behind. I have tried to force myself to EDC just my Squeak or Kiwi 3, or even my BobT Slipit, and the UKPK always tags along, even if it is just in my backpack. It even comes with me to the gym, staying safe in the locker while I carry the Squeak (doesn't bounce in the pocket of gym shorts).

It is just too good a combo of weight, blade size and shape, with speedy opening and closing, and no worries about legality issues here. That and I seem to be able to get it sharper easier than any of my other blades. The next challenger is an orange G-10 Wharncliffe Urban that my wife ordered me for Christmas. Hopefully that will be here next week. My prediction is that it just becomes a companion knife to the UKPK like all the others. Hah!

For me, it's gotta be the Native - seeing as how it's my only Spyderco (Christmas present). Digging it so far!

Beckerhead #42

Had the Para2, But like my Sage1 more. I know a lot of people don't like it, but for some reason, it works for me.

Favorite model: Military.
Favorite variations: S90V sprint, XHP sprint; waiting for M390 sprint.
Reasons: outstanding ergos under all conditions, including IMHO very ambi-friendly. Great blade profile and grind; great slicer with adequate blade strength.

Caly 3.5. Because it fits the hand so well, has a large blade for the overall size, and disappears into the pocket with the low ride wire clip. And because the PM2 is too big to carry comfortably. :)

Native 5 FRN or Endura Wave. I would put the Manix 2 Lightweight at third but I prefer simple locks with no springs or anything like that. Great knife though.

I love my Ocelot. I never hear about them on knife boards but love mine. Even bought a backup when I found out they were going to stop making them. Every way I hold it feels right and for knives near its blade length, it is the knife that is least noticeable in my pocket.

Also when I open it people always step back like I just whipped out a sword, then I show them the paw prints and they say it is "cute" and no longer seem threatened.

Ooh, zombie thread. It's so damn popular it's almost cliche, but I've had a Paramilitary in my rotation in one form or another for around 7 years now.

Well, like so many the Militarysiblings. Not the most estetic Spydercos in my collection, that would be the Lum Chinese in Nishijin or the Sage 1, but the ones with most pockettime for me together with the Delica. I like them because their incredible versatility.

Almost forgot...Sage 1 is a serious contender of course. Extremely competent and allround EDC. And beautiful too.
