What's your favorite Traditional fixed blade knife?

Hard to beat a good Loveless style drop point:

Bravo 1.5

Bravo 1 Field Edition with wedged drop point
Gunny with added wedge

These are handled in Desert Ironwood Burl, mosaic pins with black liners. Of the four, the Gunny gets the most carry time.

Picked this up from the Jones Brothers at BLADE a few years back. It quickly replaced my other puukkos as my go-to fixed blade when heading out on to the woods. 1084 steel, stabilized maple burl with punch textured copper and red spacer.

favorite is probably my trailmaker - mostly because it was my granddad's.. I think it's from the 50's

My favorite style is the Drop Point Hunter. I can't name a favorite particular knife though 'cause they're all good. :)

I'm also a fan of Scandinavian-style fixed blades, kitchen/butcher knives, bird-and-trout patterns, and Grohmann Belt knives.

Favorite production fixed blade, Schrade USA Sharpfinger:thumbup:

Favorite all time Traditional Fixed blade is my custom T.M. Hunt Wharncliffe in 01;)

My 20 + yr old sharp finger has in the last couple years become my favorite camping hunting general outdoor fixed blade

I favor the pattern too. I got my first one not long after they came out. About 40 years ago. I still use one every year for all of my outdoor adventures, canoeing, camping, fishing and hunting. I don't do much hunting anymore, but every fall and winter my friends bring me deer, ducks, geese and fish to dress and butcher for them. The Sharpfinger is always in the mix. I use a second pattern as well, the 165OT Woodsman.

Here are a few of my Sharpfingers and their close kin.

This past year or so I've also been exploring customs based on the pattern. Here. left to right. a Ryan Weeks SPK in mammoth, silver dollar spacer and bog oak, a damascas blade handled by Darrin Sanders and a larger version of the pattern custom made for me by the same maker.

Love those small Wharncliffe blades. Great looking knife!

The BHK patch knife is usually with me these days.
