What's your favorite traditional pattern?

Yeah, I'm torn between the burnt stag and my addiction for Ebony.
You & your Ebony infatuation got me to liking it on folders Mack.

My Official Boy Scout Knives

A few of my Camp Kings ( I have around 16)

That is an impressive amount of camp kings. I haven't even been able to score one yet. Always get outbid! Looks like it may be you doing it.
Seriously impressive collection. Nothing like a good scout/camp knife.

send me you address RDrogers, i have one that's been sitting around a while

"Imperial, Kamp King, 1956-1988 (I think, from reading the tang stamp), some pitting, full blade, looks unused but aged, with bail"

All of the Camp Kings were found in junk shops or resale stores, except one which was a gift from mqqn, it`s mint condition! I`ve never been on the auction site, and never paid over $5 for one.

Speaking of traditional styles. I know that several of you are Buck nuts so, I have a question for you.
A friend posted this pic of her from 1974. She says this is a Buck that she'd had since the lat sixties and wants to replace it with one from the same vintage. Can you tell what model it is from this pic? If so, can they be found from that time frame?

Too long for a Woodsman, I`ve got both those models, I`m sure it`s a Pathfinder.

Yeah, looks like a five inch blade don't it,I just couldn't tell if it had a swedge or not.
Sweet knives,kinda wish I didn't sell mine.

Pathfinder is my guess as well. And, yes, they can be found from that time frame but you might have to be patient and keep your eyes open.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep my eyes open for one. Perhaps I'll surprise her for Xmas.
I knew you guys would point me in the right direction.

You are luckier Than I am. I have NEVER found a descent knife in a resale store. I imagine they get snatched up before I get there.

That is very generous of you! I will send you my address if/when I can come up with something worthy of a trade. Sound good?

I'm always looking for Bucks so I'll keep an eye out as well and let you know if I see one for sale.

Cool picture Mack -

I recently picked up a GEC Geppetto Whittler. It is a two spring, three blade knife. It is burnt stag - I will get some pictures of it someday soon for posting.

OOOOHHHH, I had forgotten about the Geppetto. That is definitely a favorite. KNICE!!!

As for the above picture, her father is my neighbor. He took his family on the first and I believe only Pacific Crest Trail trip done on horseback. They scouted the entire trail with pack horses and have a million six stories to tell about it. That pic was taken on that trip.

If you ever feel like reading the story, it's here...
