What's your favorite ZT NON-assisted opening knife?

The 0909 is going to be hard to beat in the regular lineup -

In the LE side, the original 454....

I've only got 3 ZTs. The 0770CFM390 is my favorite, but the 0452 I just received is a very good flipper. Finally the regular 0770 is fine also. I don't mind the assisted opening knives. Probably runs along the lines of auto/stick in cars. Either is fine with me. They have advantages and disadvantages. Hand placement on the frame locks is critical. The liner locks are totally forgiving. ZT has strong detents on all the knives I've tried. Once you overcome them they are going to open.

My only current ZT is the 0452cf. I traded away all my others, and kept the 0452, and it gets a lot of pocket time. I think that says something.

0562 always brings a smile to my face. It's a beefy knife, but it opens smoothly and feels great in hand.

I like the 0562 and the 0550. I agree with you, assisted has lost its appeal for me, in most cases.

Four way tie between the 0450, 0452CF, 0801, and 0909. Hahah. Sorry I couldn't narrow it down. I did leave a couple out that don't make the cut... 0808, 0560. I still like them though.

I just purchased a new 0562cf approx three weeks ago and I'm very impressed w/ both the fit and finish of this knife. It's my first ZT and IMHO this blade is hard to beat. Good luck with your future selection.

I concur. I have owned a lot of ZT knives and this one is the best around knife so far and my favorite Zt to date. I like it so much I bought 3.
I've also owned a lot, many of the high end ones as well, 0600, 0777, 0560CBCF to name a couple, and this one has all of them beat to me as far as smoothness and fit and finish. This thing is unbelievable

I only have 0900 and eyeing 0562CF right now.
The 0900 has a stiff detent but it flies like a rocket when opened

The 801 that I got first week of October. Just fantastic.

The 801 is my only ZT. It does have a good feel to it and opens very easily for such a solid, heavy knife. I really don't see the appeal of assisted-opening.
