Hey guys

I am trying to decide which busse/kin knife i want to pursue next. I generally really like 5"-7" blade range. I am seeking inspiration or at least to see what seems to be the more popular choice/s.

Please post photos of your favourites, i am not to good with names.
Thanks!

I have no 5-7" knives but if I did, I think the ASH would be my choice.

Infidu and HG55 are good options. You could call up Busse and get on the waiting list for the Urban Grudge, you may still be able to get lucky and score one of those direct.

The Swatmandu is another excellent choice!!! Also Depending on how deep your pockets are the Urban Fudge

I agree, the swatmandu looks like an amazing knife.
Id heavily consider it if the custom shop was open

I'm a big fan of the RMD, but the JMD stole the show once it arrived. I was a little skeptical about the thin grips at first, but it's been an excellent user for me, the enlarged choil fits my hand great:

In terms of non-kin, the BK-15 has been fantastic since I stripped it and gave it a slicer grind. These were an absurd value when they were first discontinued and could be had for under $50 at closeout prices:

I look forward to getting the BGBJ in hand as well, I imagine they will start dinging soon. Should be an interesting comparison to the JMD.

I like the Infidu (with liners) at the short end (5"), HG-55 and ASH-1, and SFNO on the long end (7"), but my favorite in this range is a sleeper in some respects -- the SJTAC. If I recall, it's around 6", has a TAC handle, and blade that's not as tall as that of the ASH-1. It's my favorite knife to keep at the bedside or in the car. While it's strong, it's also quick in hand and reasonably light.

The only one I own is the coated "Embrace The Suck" model. Would love to own an LE someday or, better yet, have Jerry re-introduce a SJTAC in satin.

Yeh, great suggestion JohnM.
The SJTAC looks like a very versatile, useful and practical knife, that could cover a variety of areas/tasks. Also 6"-6.5" is a sweet spot in my books and plus i love the shape of it.

I think I've narrowed them down to just the Sarsquatch, Sar6, Sar5, HG55, Batac, Beefmandu, Jackmandu, S5LE & RMD. Though the Sar4, Hog Muk & Dog Skinner are closely nipping at the heels of that size herd. :D

Hahah, the common problem of trying to pick just one/a few^ favourites.
No one can settle for just the one

This is turning into my favorite Busse period... The Euro-Basic 6

A Camp Tramp/711 might be easier to find though and they are darn close in comparison with this one.

Happy Hunting!

That's EASY (for me anyway) Natural Outlaw Ergo!, then the Badger Attack Ergo, then the SHSH I.
