What's your favourite movie knife fight?

A more recent movie: Halway Fight scene at the end of Repo-Men. Best knife action i've seen to date.

I loved the scene where the Punisher (Frank Castle) uses an Emerson Combat Karambit to defeat an enemy. In another scene he also uses a Spyderco Civillian.

Monkey knife fight from the simpsons.

My favorite scene, too!

Btw...

Pics are real, no photoshop! :D

that monkey is thinking which one on his pack he's going to scalp! for another unrealistic knife vs gun movie, we also have the spaghetti western Run, man, run! where Cuchillo (spanish for knife), the main guy, beats another guy drawing his gun with a knife toss kill.

THe one sided knife fight (Coburn throwing) against man with gun in The Magnificent Seven.

Worlds shortest sword fight! A classic!

Dude, that is one of the greatest scenes in cinema history. My father and I always burst out laughing at how awesome this scene is. Heard that apparently Ford was just having a bad day on the set when they were filming this scene, so he just improvised that scene, not feeling like dealing with it, and it was so great they just kept it in the film? Cracks me up! :D:D:D

There are several scenes in the "Last Samurai". However, I am partial to the scene where Algren alone goes to town on Omura's henchmen. The single-mindedness of Algren's character demonstrated by the scene being replayed in slow-mo is bad a$$.

On a side note, I remember reading that the Sayoc Kali experts were planning on introducing the karambit in the movie The Hunted.

However, Tom Brown apparently held a senior position as technical supervisor and Benicio Del Toro and the knife they went with was Tom Brown's Tracker.

Has anyone mentioned the scene in From Here to Eternity and the fight between Montgomery Clift and Ernest Borgnine?

Tommy lee jones vs Benico del toro in the hunted. The seagal vs jones fight in under siege was good too. The best knife/blade fighting movie overall is The Last of the Mohicans though.

I just wanted to throw the Sharpe's miniseries out there. The fight scenes aren't the most realistic, but I love watching them. The series as a whole is a lot of fun, my favorite fight is the first one between Harper and Sharpe. I will warn you though, some of the latter episodes aren't very good, most notably Sharpe's Gold and Sharpe's Justice.

Read most but not all posts - so sorry if I am repeating someone else.

The last Rambo movie sticks with me.

He actually forges his own "chopper" style knife, and disembowels the lead "bad guy" at the end of the movie.

The computer graphics were a little cheesy (when the guys guts fell on the ground), but I appreciate the fact that Rambo didn't pull out some uber tactical Spec Ops knife.

Yes one could argue that he forged it from a piece of rebar, that he was in a jungle scenario and it would rust heavily, etc. It was just cool.

Benicio Del Torro vs. Tommy Lee Jones in The Hunted

Edit:
also, that old movie called Exposure with Peter Coyote, had a great knife fight @ the end...

Yeah, that was cool although as a blacksmith, I had to chuckle about how "quickly" he got that blade up to hammer temp over a campfire. It still was an awesome fight scene though.)
