What's Your Grail

heh heh heh...

Your idea wouldn't be an asym satin B11, would it? Funny, I've had that itch ever since I first saw a satin B9 about 12 years ago. :D

But you did rekindle that spark for me when you mentioned it awhile back, so you definitely deserve credit. I have to say, it's da bomb.

Thanks Dan!

Ok. I just wanted props on that. It turned out really sweet. You must have some pull at Busse cause I never got mine yet. It sure is sweet! Congrats on that Grail!

Will, I like your style.

I'm more of a zero convex guy myself. :D

Each of these was my grail at one point.

What is that first blade Jared? It looks like a satin B11 but longer, could just be the pic

Oeser--Thanks--that convex satin job on your B11 is beautiful, and it's very cool that you can restore it whenever you need to. Also, thank you very much for your instructions on how to do that. I decided to let Garth take care of mine, because the asymmetrical edge was hand-applied by Jerry himself, so I didn't want to take a chance on screwing it up with a DIY attempt. It's one I hadn't used, from Blade 2010. BTW, your black paper on satin NMFBM really sets the table with those others -- that's a gorgeous knife and grouping.

Liu Kang--I don't think I have any special pull with Busse. I asked Garth if he would make one up for me, but he said he was out of the original Basic handles, so I sent him my own coated asym for re-finishing. That was about the same time you and I were talking. Great idea -- thanks for the congratulations.

Pretty sure it's a B-11 Tyrade

Yep, it's a B11. I think the picture just makes it look longer.

Will, I think that was a good choice to send it in. I wouldn't want to chance messing up an asym edge either. Yours turned out beautiful. Definitely Grail worthy!!

But Will, I thought I was your inspiration :(:p:D:thumbup: Props on that blade man, its so very sweet.

Jared, sweet snake nmsfno dude, cant say Ive ever seen one like that.

ps, lemme know when you wanna part with that knob nmfbm ; )

...and props to you for that inspiration, my friend--unquestionably your knife began my journey of investigation into the possibilities.

As is so often the case it seems, genius is born a child of many fathers.

An Anso 67, the real deal, no custom collaboration please, a working man edition

?????

Right now mine are more edc/general use type knives rather than the more spacific use bad ass knives. So right now I'm wanting a GEC conductor in burnt stag and a Strider that's black on black on black on black. Cus I'm still into to tacticool looking knives if there actually tough enough.

?????

It is a long list. Much longer than I will ever be able to accomplish, or fund!

Chuckette sized, no finger grooves on the handle.

Magnum AA.

Straight handled Mistress (higher hardness would be a plus).

Banned AK.

Banned Gladius.

Infi Folder.

Dragons Fang minus the finger grooves (There is at least one out there if I remember correctly). add more blade height form edge to spine. Tuned by Ban just to add performance!

There are many more.

I may have to have you help me make mine like your B11!

It should have been : How many of you remember those? Sorry for my bad english...:o
These were made by Jerry's friend Mike Thourot with Infi and had Busse heat treatment.
The white one's handle is made of white micarta. These were 9,5" overall (4,5" blade).
Awesome blades
