what's your hunting knife

I like this little hunter from Geno Denning a lot too.

Buck Nighthawk and a AG Russell Woodswalker.

But this year I've also got a Gerry Drew Ulu/Axe, one of Henschel's small knives, one of Daniel Koster's Nessies... good thing I overweight and out of shape - otherwise I wouldn't have anywhere to hang my knives. ;)

I've got lots of knives i bought to be used for cleaning or skinning game, but the one i've used the most is a OHT. It's not the ideal blade, but it works. Been looking at the bark river mini skinner for a bit might give that a try soon.

For medium to larger game, the Fallkniven H1/3G.

For smaller game like rabbits, the Fallkniven TK3

Kind regards
Mick

I have some nice Dozier and Bark River hunting knives… :D

But I look forward to putting my Stephan Fowler forged blade to the test.

Wow, all of those beautiful fixed blades knives and they all work great I bet.

Here's mine. A lowly Vic SAK.

Along with the old Case XX butcher knife I cut-down to 5", with osage orange handle scales. (And of which I do not have any pics at the moment!)

They're simple, yet effective!

Just got me a green Vic Hunter. Used it to clean white wing and morning doves this weekend. Nice knife and you can't beat the price. It's this Po'Boys knife while bird hunting.

Folder: Buck Omni Hunter 10 Pt. in nylon sheath, or a green Victorinox Hunter in a nylon sheath.
Fixed blade: Eriksson Mora 612 (half guard) with leather sheath.

The Buck 119 is a fantastic fighter but i don't like it for a hunting knife.

I have been using a Scrapyard SS4 with a very thin zero edge but i think I may try the skookum or a Rosarms Companion2 this year. I will probably take both ,the c2 for the skinning etc and the Skookum for other chores and in case I need a really nice sharp point.

Here is the Skookum and the SS4.

Here are some Rosarms fighters with the C2 on the far right looking little and innocent

Oops I forgot I always keep a couple of cheap moras from the local Peavy Mart in the truck and make sure they are nice and sharp.
They come in handy when watching someone struggle with a dull Canadian Tire special becomes to painful.
Here is one with an emergency kit also for the truck. Say what you will about those nalgene bottles they can freeze solid without breaking which is very important this time of year.
