Whats your "Keep in the Car Knife"?

I keep my older Leatherman multi-tools, one in each car.

And, of course, whatever knife I have on me at the time...

Leatherman Wave in the glove box. Occasionally I'll bring my Izzy 2 with me for the day.

I keep a cold steel Gurkha Kukri sk5 behind my front seat. You know, in case of
the "zombie apocalypse". I also have an
old carbon mora in the trunk.

Not counting my pockets and the GHB in the trunk...

SOG Fusion Salute and SOG Power Plier in the glove box.

I keep the Light My Fire/Mora knife in my Jeep. I figure it covers both my blade and fire making needs all in one package in case of an emergency. I don't view my vehicle knife as a self-defense tool though; that's what the 1911 in my waistband is for.

Why not something a little more "substantial" or expensive? Well, after having a Swamp Rat and several other high-end gear items stolen from my Jeep, I won't make the same mistake twice.

For 30 dollars, this thing is pretty darn cool...

thanks for posting this. i'm definitely picking one up. they have them at ems.

CRKT M21-04 that I just can't bring myself to get rid of in the console, and a Swamp Rat RMD and original Leatherman multitool in my bag.

Leatherman Wingman in the console and whatever I'm carrying at the time.
Been toying with the idea of the SAK Rescue Tool but can't pull the trigger.

After reading this, I really have never thought about it. When I'm in the truck I've got my EDC with me anyhow, but after these posts I'm gonna put my Gerber International in the consol. This knife has a handle of 5" and a blade length of 4 7/8". It does have a serated portion and it's silver with back panels and black bade with pocket clip. It's a liner-lock and I like this type of knife for a friend many years ago had showed me his EDC and it was a liner-lock. Ever since then I've looked for this feature.
Many may not like it, many may, it's just what ever ya get used ta I guess. I also like the lock blade folders like the Buck line has and own, so it's just your taste I guess.

i'll pick one that seems to be there the most lately. Mora Companion. Really versatile for my uses, and stays sharp. Fixed blades are my current choice it seems :)

In addition to the "carried that day" knives,

In the Prius -
Buck 464 in the driver door pocket
Buck 110 and a spring loaded punch velcroed in the center console
full sized Kabar in the driver's seat back pocket
Ontario 21" machete in the capacious 2 cu ft "trunk"

In the truck -
Japanese no-name 22" machete and Heavy Bowie Kabar behind the seat
Buck 462 in driver door pocket
Spring loaded punch velcroed in dash compartment

On the tractor -
Ontario 21" machete
small Gerber locking folder Model ??? in storage area

An emerson cqc7 usually stays in the car, but I always have a knife on me so my second car knife varies:)

My new truck/car knife is the Kershaw Shuffle. Yeah, its made in China, but in a Chinese factory owned by Kershaw. At less than $15 per pop, I've bought 3 of em for the cars/trucks. A bottle opener and screwdriver is a cool addition. To top it off they're sharp as all get-outs.
