I wish he would have had two Loon's Haebbie. But, he only had the one. If and when I see another one I'll contact you with the info. Please keep a look out for a Wood Duck...it's the only hole in the series for me now:(

I picked up my first 110 the other day. 2011 date stamp. Nylon sheath. Took it out on a 7 mile hike yesterday. Didn't see any action, but the sheath felt great. Rides really nice. I wanted to get one to see if I would dig it enough to go for a custom model. I think I just might.

I got a small collection with about 36 knives but I only got 3 Buck Knives in the collections... :eek: ... ITE
 
Newbie here. :)

A while ago I picked up an unused 650 Nighthawk off ebay for about half what they sell for new. Love that knife and got me hooked on Buck from the get go.

Have since added a 285 Bantam BLW (USA made) and a 486 Bucklite Max Large following recommendations on this forum.

This morning the mail lady delivered m a 692 Vanguard (black rubber). The nylon sheath is going to take a little while to convince me I think although I love how it sits on the belt, and somehow I envisaged the knife being a bit bigger/heavier. (Big hands here).

Still to come are a 112 Ranger Ecolite in Plum Red and a 279 Alpha Hunter folder picked up off ebay in the last 24 hours.

Pretty much all my shopping has to be done via ebay because stores carrying good knives are few and far between around here, and being in Australia it's a lot harder to order just any old thing, as all you do if you order from overseas is add to the collection belonging to a group of Customs officers.

both parents from same town which was german colony , then austro hungarian , + now in country of slovenia - always been a shooter + former hunter - they were gottscheer's from the town of gottschee - in my grandfathers time the area was remote wilderness -

I got the little Hartsook last week and my wife ordered me a Hoodlum from Santa last night. The Hartsook is a SMALL knife. I like it but it is smaller than I expected. I am guessing the Hoodlum will be larger than I am expecting. LOL

The Big Brown Truck of Joy hasn't delivered it yet, but I ordered an Omni Hunter 10 pt. fixed blade. Just like the blade shape, and a price I couldn't pass up ($27.48 del.).

thanks - my immediate relatives left in late 1800's to early 1900's except for uncle jahn who left in 1918 when discharged from military - i see that you are from berlin : any idea what this knife in picture is ? brought back from bavaria after WWII - taken from german officer ( if family stories are true ) - fixed blade that unfolds from handle to increase blade length - markings on blade are schuchbauer , wurzburg - thanks for the help -

That's a great knife you have. It is called ((translated the German word)) extension knife.
Just as you need you have two different usable blade length with one knife. The Factory Robert Schuchbauer GmbH
is still working, as I understand for OEM production for a lot of companies.

The knife is offered in different versions and is still in production in Italy, but may be in Germany too. I would not be surprised if
Schuchbauer still produces a similar model. As I remember Linder offers one and Hubertus too.

But what do I know, in Bernard Levines Forum you find a Germyan specialist (Germania). He is a chairman of
an important knife factory. And he knows more than a lot. May be that you get better Informations there.

By the way: The sheath has a Finnish style. And I am sure that it is not the original to the knife. I have a knife
that would fit to the sheath if you like I can dig it out to show a picture.
