Recently picked up this little beauty. With it's sweet lines, damascus blades, and rope filework, it's quickly becoming my favorite Schrade possession.

Glad you got that one Dave, what a fine knife!! Schrade really went over the top on that one, now I'm REALLY jealous!!!

Eric

Very nice Dave! do you know how many bone handle variations there were for the Joe Kious knives made by Schrade. Also the sheath/pouch is Ostrich leather, if that wasn't already known. Nice find!

I believe in this particular pattern, there were 1,000 made. The first 100 were green bone (Joel has one of these). The remailing 900 were brown bone. I am pretty sure the green one had a different sheath material.

Here is a honkin' big solid ol' Ulster/kinfe Co/N Y, 5 1/2" Swell Center Hunting Knife (v. similar to example pg. 219 LG4) (Mr. Biggz) and 3 Schrade/Walden/NY USA//865 Lobster knives (the Beauties)

Not too new, but three similar and not too commonly seen:

The black stagged composite, (very similar to Rolands 242) is a Schrade Walden 758, and two MOTS, a 73P Ulster, and a Schrade Walden 842. They are all a similar pattern and 3-1/8" in length.

Nice finds Roland! :thumbup::thumbup:
I like that 242 also!

Hal,
That 73P is real sweet! it even has the blade etch intact.

Great finds guys!

:thumbup:very nice ones guys:thumbup:
havent seen that 302 before-neat!!------------brady

Again, not too new to me, but close relatives of Roland's and Hal's knives are pictured here. I wonder which tooling continued after Schrade merged with Ulster?? It seems both companies had similar tooling for 3 1/8" pens. The tip bolstered models are very slightly slimmer in some cases, but that can be the finishing technique.

Talk about some beauties!!! All of you have some great knives, but Charlie, that equal end whittler has me drooling all over myself!

I used to collect Whittlers Dave, and they still "do it" for me too! I haven't seen too many copies of that one.
I will be keeping my eyes open for Schrades at Oregon next week. I've always found a few nice ones there. I hope that luck holds! (fingers crossed)

Charlie,
Have you run out of house yet?
Man you have some great stuff.
Larry

Great grabs guys, Roland, that 302 is definitely not one you see very often. Nice collection of lobsters too!

Phenomenal equal end display Charlie!:eek::thumbup::thumbup:
