I have a Rolex watch addiction, had the DateJust, still have the GMT II Pepsi and Coke; just on Monday I sold my gold Submariner Ceramic Blue and today my wife said I have a new package waiting for me at home. It's a new stainless steel Submariner Ceramic, I'm trying to thin my collection out a bit and consolidate it down to maybe just 2 watches... Here's the new Sub
Thinking hard, about saving for a Seiko Alpinist, which IMO is a very outdoorsy watch, that isn't overbuilt, or gaudy by any means. More realistically though, the Russian watches have caught my eye, and hopefully I'll have a Komandirskie or Amphibia, or maybe both, soon enough. I'm not a big dive watch guy, but the Amphibia is pretty versatile, and a good value for the money from what I hear. The Komandirskie is offered in a ton of variations, and quite affordable, but like most Russians I've seen come with horrendous straps/bracelets so I'll have to get some NATOs more than likely. I really like the Komandirskie that's offered with the ministry-esque case, preferably in brass
Thinking about Seagull's 1963 Chinese Air Force reissue. Still thinking because it's $100 over my budget. It would be my only mechanical chronograph, my only hand-winder, and my only watch with no (as in zero) water resistance.
Another one of these when the one I'm wearing dies. It's 8 years old and still on it's original battery. I think the MSRP is up to $12.95
I'm leaning toward a Hamilton Viewmatic or a Christopher Ward C5. I need a watch with a white/silver dial on a brown strap in my collection.
I've been looking at the G-Shock Aviation series.... http://www.gshock.com/watches/aviation/?Newest=0&Collection=Aviation&Color=ALL&viewall=1
I purchased my watch, new, 31 years ago. It still runs great so I don't really need to think too much about my "next" watch:
Just picked up a Sinn UX at the beginning of this month so I think I'm done for a while. Too many nice watches out there....
I remember when those were $7.95 retail lol and used to wear them all the time... then for some reason I went analog...
