What's your poison/cocktail of choice.

My favorite flavor of beer is Scotch Ale. McEwans and Belhaven are great, and Sam Adams makes a good version.

As far as Scotch, McClellands is a reasonably priced single malt. It comes in 3 versions - Lowland, Highland and Islay (Island). The Islay is an aquired taste, since the peat they use to smoke the malt has a hint of sea salt. Great stuff on the rocks or neat.

Belhaven Scottish Ale is outstanding. Have you tried Belhaven's St Andrew's Ale?

LOL, that's great! I got some of that for my brother since he's a big Holy Grail fan, it was a big hit. Of course he's not a beer drinker (well, he thinks Miller Lite is 'good' beer) and told me it was "bitter". I was not amused.

Really? I didn't find it bitter at all. I thought it was pretty smooth and rich. Of course, I didn't expect much from it other than a novelty.

"Shot of Vodka with a human hair in it !"

I think the line is actually "Give me a warm gin with a human hair in it". Later on he orders it again "hey, where's the hair". Bartender replies, "it's in there".

That's from Rustler's Rhapsody, a hilarious parody of old westerns starring Tom Berenger. Truly a classic.

Irish whiskey is my drink of choice (Jameson's 12, Redbreast, Connemara) with the occasional break for a single malt (Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Laphroaig). I like the idea of a good glass of wine or a cold beer, but I pretty much can't turn down the whiskey. :D

If I'm drinking la-di-da beer: Spaten Optimator
If I'm drinking beer while floating down a river: Miller High Life
If I'm drinking beer, and want to show my Texas pride: Shiner Bock
The default is probably Miller Lite.

For shots, anything that is somewhat smooth is fine...chilled vodka used to be a fave, although I've gotten away from shots in general.

Mixed drinks...my dad makes a mean top-shelf margarita...that's about it.

In my estimation, the best is drinking cheap beer while floating down a river. Well, maybe not best, but certainly the funnest.

Brandy Alexander's, made with ice cream instead of crushed ice, with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top. ^-^

Crown Royal and giinger ale.

Also, maybe a bit of Sangria does ma life a litle better.

Sour mash bourbon (hey, it's a KY thang).

Yeah, that. Makers Mark, Booker's, Woodford Reserve. With ice.

"Sip it slow and the world stays sweet."

I prefer beer (well-made beer only) to anything else.

Tonight I am drinking Chimay Cinq Cents and Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA.

Guinness or any stout I can get my paws on...

Single malt, islay whisky, and jack daniels all disappear around here.

Right now I'm working on:
Macallen 12yr
Glen Livet 12yr
Glen Morangie 10yr

need to buy another bottle of bushmills at the end of the month, just bought a fresh bottle of glen livet on friday.

I'm a Stella Artois fan. Went the cheap route this last time around and bought 15 pack of Molson Canadian. It's nasty by comparison.

If I'm drinking shots I like Jagermeister.

Tequila and Vodka are way too strong for me these days. I must be getting old...

My mainstay is Heineken. . . . .but. . . .I have been known to partake in:

1. Jack Daniels (any type - prefer single barrel) on the rocks. . .with a coke back.

2. Sweet ice-tea on the rocks with a couple of shots of Spiced Capt Morgan tossed in.

3. Gin (only Bombay Sapphire) and tonic. . . .twist of lime (lime remains are floating with the ice).

All of my hard liquor is kept in the freezer !

My preference is for a very nice single malt scotch:
- Aberlour A'bunadh
- Auchentoshan Three Wood
- Balvenie 21 Port Wood
- Dalwhinnie 15
- Glendronach 15
- Glenmorangie 12 (Sherry Wood Finish)
- Glenmorangie 12 (Port Wood Finish)

I also enjoy a good bourbon from time to time:
- Booker's
- Baker's
- Woodford Reserve
- Knob Creek
- Blanton's
- Maker's Mark

If I'm out for dinner and the "top shelf" at the restaurant is mostly bare, I'll order a rusty nail.

For hot summer cook-outs and picnics some sort of blended cocktail is just what the doctor ordered. :D
