What's your rig to get out there?

Mine...mostly stock. 95 Grand Cherokee, V8, 4x4. Has a few mods, I've got a bunch more planned (the usual: more lights, lift, tires, lockers, winch, etc)
Tough and fun to drive. Comfy, like four wheeling a leather lazy-e-boy ;)

This is my family rig.

And this is my hiking vehicle, ie. I don't worry about leaving it parked in the woods at the trailhead for a few days.

A 2006 Jeep wrangler Rubicon. It has an inline 6 cyl. & 6 speed manual transmission. all around lockers. It pulls like a mountain goat on steroids !!!!!!

Here is my work-hunt-offroad-go to church pride and joy. 2001 Tacoma Quad Cab TRD 4x4. 265K miles, and still going strong. You might notice the location from River 8's picture. Cougar Rock, Wa.

Took a while to find the rock.

Some cool rides fellas. Mine is an 09 Tacoma 4X4 TRD Off Road. Electronic push button locker, ATRAC, oil and tranny coolers, skid plates, AC inverter, all from the factory. On the 09s and 10s you can engage the locker and ATRAC at the same time in 4 low. VVTi engine pulls any of my boats with no problem. It goes places my buddies full size trucks can't, even with lifts and tires. And it will out accelerate any of their V-8s, except for one of em's 5.7 Tundra. Still has room for four adults and gear.

nice truck Shooter.. once my truck below rusts out from under me, ill be getting one like yours. below is a 02 taco V6 4x4. its the SR5 series not the TRD which has the E-locker... never needed the Elocker so i didnt get the TRD. i have never got mine stuck. she has been great. at 175k miles she drives like brand new. pulls a 21ft bass boat just fine!

Still got the Tacoma, modded it a bit in the past year. Lift, tires, had a light bar and sliders made, tonneau cover, TRD bolt ons, etc.

My favorite is the neoprene covered seats. Water, mud, blood and dirt proof.

the one thing you are missing that i think would come handy for you is a ARB bumper with wench mounts. it would give you some better front bumper clearance as well very nice additions shooter. i would love to bump my taco up but $$ is scarce right now.

I dunno ... I used to drive a sticker covered subaru .... I used to put stickers over all the rust holes ... those things are brilliant at rusting
they are not bad 4x4s either , the places I used to have to get rescued out of had the poor bugars doing the rescue scratching their heads as to how the hell I got that far in the first place
