man i have tryed them all and believe me the best is--Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish--you want believe the finish you will get--this is by far the best i have come across--you can find this at your local truck stops
take the grinding wheel off the motor and attach a cutting buff and use green rouge......get someone to talk to you about it at a hardware.......be very carefull you dont end up with a blade sticking out your chest......a stiff circular cutting brush and cutting grease will be good for a start off....but the rouge will buff it to a better shine than when you bought it.
theres a lot more to polishing....if you want me to tell you more then say so
let me tell you to ignore that last post.....if you dont know what you're doing then you will wreck the knife and loose a finger......but there are courses that will teach you how to polish and improve the finish and remove all the scratches.....or you can just give it to a knife maker of course....but I think it would be fun for you to polish properly.
that is of course if you didnt come here to sell your product ....if you're just a spammer then may I suggest tying your underwear to a motor spinning at 6000 rpm's
I've used Brasso, Noxon and Maas. They all do a good job, but tarnish always comes back fairly quick. If I win the lottery or take out a second mortgage I may buy some Ren Wax to keep 'em shiny longer.
Mothers is good for car metal but for knives I use SimiChrome and nothing else. I've never found any other polish that works as well as the Happich SimiChrome. I've tried them whenever I found them but nothing seems to work as well at that in my opinion.
Good ta see yer still around yit, I use all kinds of stuff, toothpaste, brasso, simichrome, plastic polish, hell ketchup/catsup works great at bringing out the lines in a damascus pattern.
I am with Trane fan. Never Dull wadding compound. It won't scratch a high polish finish. Also works great on removing the black powder off your stainless handguns. Removes surface rust off blued guns without harming the finish. Great stuff.
I keep a can of Nver-Dull on my computer desk at all times. I tried a bunch of different things at work when we had mirrored finish brass hand rails (idiots!!) installed. This did the best job without marring the finish.
I have been using Flitz for years and years. At one time I traveled a lot, setting up and selling at gun shows and sport shows. I think it was a 10 day show in Chicago about 12 years ago when I first discovered flitz. To this day I swear it is the best metal polish I have ever seen. Brass stays bright much longer, and the water repellant properties are fabulous. Not to mention that it is the onl y metal polish I know of that will actually pull stains out of steel....not rub them away but pull them out like a sponge....and it does a damn fine job on plastic and fiberglass as well. You cant go wrong with the blue stuff......
