Flitz has come up a number of times, so someone please help me with this.
I have been using flitz on my BM710 for a long time. It is the only polish we sell in the store. However it seems like a day or so after I have applied it, I will pull out the blade and it's gunked up! It looks like it's been cutting boxes 24/7. I think the flitz is doing this, because I can't think of anything else. I'm probably not applying it correctly, or something.

I use Flitz and Tuf-Cloth, I find with the Flitz metal polish I have to sort of disregard the instructions to really get it to shine well. I use Gun Cleaning Patches 2"x2" apply the metal polish and rub the area until the patch is absolutely blackened, then buff by hand with a soft cotton cloth, then apply a wax by Flitz and if you can afford it, Renaissance Wax. I have found once sealed with the wax, all I do is rub down with a soft cotton cloth after handling the knife.
Have used Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish, Flitz, and Simichrome on my knives, not to mention cars, motorcycles, watches, and bicycles. All do a fantastic job, but it seems easiest to find the Mother's product.
