Whats the worst knife you have ever had? I'll start. :p I got a knife for $1.00 at wal-mart about 3yrs ago. It was my first folder that had a 3" blade (biggest one I had at the time). :o

Benchmade Pika 2. Any other BM is not too far behind on the list of crap knives I've made the mistake of buying.

Newcoyote, you have much higher standards than I.

I'd say my worst is a no-name Chinese lockback that my dad found when he was a kid. Purely sentimental; the blade has plenty of play in all directions, and it smacks into the bolster whenever it closes.

The few SRM and rough rider knives I have would have to be the worst. Not that they are awful, they just aren't as nice as my others. The worst knife I ever had was a swiss army knife knockoff. It was trash. I lost it years ago.

The one that isnt in my hand when I need it :p

but seriously my worst one would be a Case/Brian White collab trapper with mystery Damscus

Al Mar SERE 2000..8inch blade version with the latin script etc on it..POS snapped doing what a Ka-Bar wouldve laughed at...i still have the box for it (and the snapped blade)...retail price was $500 plus, and this was in the early 90,s...i paid half that for it...knife education is an expensive business for hard knife users....FES

a scout knife for 2nd graders. it was a waste of stacked leather for the handle and aluminum for the pommel.

Any of the $7. 00 s& w's they sell at Pep boys. Got more than my money's worth out of all of them, but sub-beater knife...

This is going to be considered sacrilege, my benchmadee mini grip. It doesn't hold a good edge, it has lots of blade play, the handle feels cheap, i could go on... I had really high hopes when I first got it, they were quickly gone like a fart in the wind.

A couple decades ago, I had a Sharp-brand lockback from Kmart. Rubber inserts glued to the handle fell off, the blade snapped 1/4" from the tip, and the lock spring is shot - within the first year. Naturally I still didn't toss it, so now I have a friction folding screwdriver/kydex scoring blade. I'll get my $12 worth even if it takes another 10 years!

My greatest disappointment in a user knife was my first Case - a new Seahorse Whittler. I had been spoiled by German-made slippies like Boker (Tree Brand classics), German Bull, Hen & Rooster, and Puma - and most were far, far less dear in cost. Then there is my Buck 301 Stockman - a longtime pocket pal. All of my other slippies came easier to use by a huge margin - and were at least as sharp, too. Sadly, my wife bought me a pair of the Seahorse Whittlers, too - and they were equally difficult to open. A subsequent different model Case was also stiff - but lube and leaving it partially open - at max spring deflection - seemed to help - as it did with thw Seahorse Whittler trio. Still - I feel like a traditional slippie to tote and carry, it won't be a Case. They are 'pretty' - probably really are better to collect! No more Case knives for me - my thumb nails don't grow back that fast these days...

Stainz

Cold Steel Triple action.

The vg10 chipped so much that it was like both sides were fully serrated.... So much blade play...... And so much sticking.

I should have saved a bill and hunted down a fred perrin trifold

When I was in highschool, the local flea market had a ton of cheap Chinese crap knives and I bought my fair share because they never asked if you were 18.

They were all total junk, I wish I had known better. Thankfully the local pawn shop didn't either because they bought all of them for 3-4 bucks each, probably half of what I paid many years before.

I have a D2 minigrip and love it, I hated my full size grip though and returned it. If you can find a D2 version they are great.

For me it would have to be CRKT, just poor quality and cheap materials. That's excluding some of the ultra low-end china made garbage.

Worst ever was a United Cutlery Boot dagger. I knew from the price though not to expect much.

BM 7500 (i think its been a long time) auto from the 90's tanto, partial serrated, and LOTS of blade play...woooohooooo 3 for 3

The worst knife I ever owned, that cost very much was a MOD 675, it came dull and would not get sharp no matter what I did. It was like this. only plain edge.
I hated it and sold it at a loss.
