**When are the S&W HRT knives coming out???**

I can't say that the HRT folder does much for me, but WOW that fixed blade is way cool! I love the shape and the grinds look really clean. It just about begs to be bought by me, disassembled for satin finishing, and then re-handled in something a little nicer than plastic... Hell I'd buy two, put one in the bugout bag as-is and do the custom job on the other!

Paul.

Gratuitous knife content: I like the designs of both knives.

Mr Ralph, I was not trying to lecture you (I hope you don't think I was) or anyone else. I was trying to clarify the current situation for those who are unaware. I do understand your reasons for allowing Taylor/S&W to make your knives. You weren't being paid for your designs before, now you are. NUFF said.

SW342PD, there's a big difference. S&W signed, Taurus, Glock and SIG did not. As for Bill Ruger, well that's another topic.

This the last post I will make on the subject, so as not to irk the moderator further.

Does anyone have pics of the satin finish HRT fixed blade? Beadblast promotes rust. The Camillius Darrel Ralph designs and the HRTs are extraordinary knives at a extraordinary price. They rival CRKT.

I think that Discountknives has them in stock. It's hard to tell for sure from their brief descriptions, but I'm pretty sure the new HRT's are for sale there. BTW, I handled a LOT of folders at blade, and the new magnesium HRT was awesome for the money. It was fun to play with, and the flipper worked very well. The fixed blade was nice, but it seemed heavy due to what I remember as a balance point closer to the tip than to the pommel. As to the bead-blasting, I agree. However, 440-C is very corrosion resistant, and so it's a lot better than having a bead-blasted ATS-34 blade, for example. I'm not that much into the gun scene, and I just think these are very nice knives and are a great value. Kudos, DR!
