Yep, it does suck but they probably know that letters often do show up.
But, the good news is, the clock starts from the day you purchased
the money order, not when you file for a refund, so, you could hold
off a while before getting the form and paying to submit it.
But you do need to submit that in order to ever get a refund, then
it's in their system and at the right date, it pops out automatically
driven by the date.
BUT, if perchance, the money order shows up, and someone cashes it!
They will come back to you for that money from the refund!
