When did "tactical" become a selling point?

While I am by no means a Tacticool kinda guy...my flanel and camo hat would beg to differ :P I do enjoy what I usualy get from "Tacticool" knives and some of my other stuff ie my AR10. The Knife tends to be more hard use and I am willing to inflict more abuse on it than my Case Trapper. As far as AR10 a bolt action 270 doesnt work nearly as well as the AR for hunting Cyotee

Best thread I've gone through in a long, loooong time! Had me bust out laughing, tripping through memory lane, thinking STRATEGIC thoughts like what the heck is a knife really for?
