When do you expect to stop buying knives? Why?

I missed this years forum knife what is it and can it still be had?
The knives are supposed to be finished in about 3 weeks (Buck this year). Individuals were allowed to purchase up to two knives. I purchased (prepaid) for one myself. I would suggest you go over to the traditional forum and see if someone who will get two will sell you one of theirs or through the exchange later. There is an ongoing thread essentially about interest status in the traditional forum; I would suggest that you post there and see if anyone responds to your interest.

There is a picture of one of the knives that is nearly finished in that thread. It has kind of a knarly elk scales with two blades in 154 CMP. I am quite impressed actually.

I find my interest in knives more compelling than purchasing as a way of sticking with this hobby. The proliferation of new makers, collaborations, clones, knockoffs, materials, designs, etc. overwhelms me to the point of distraction. Being one of those who does not need a knife, but probably has over a hundred, also makes me wonder why I ever consider buying any more. On top of that, I won't drop any "considerable" amount of money on something and beat the daylights out of it, unless it is something like a hammer.

For me, one of the dangers of having a little bit of knowledge about a subject is that I soon decide what I want costs more than what I am willing to pay. For example, I know nothing about guns, but most I see advertised cost less than the knives I really want. The reason I don't switch to guns is that I would soon price myself out of them too. However, I am not really interested in guns, so I keep reading about knives and waiting for my 2018 BF Bucks.

Thank you so much.

Man I just bought another one. Dang it!

Thanks Apostle P, your videos are an addiction.

I’ve been trying for months to stop buying knives but ZT keeps coming out with more and more awesome knives This year (NOT the 0470)!. I Thought I was done but now that the 0808BLK has come out it’s calling My name everyday. I’d say it’s almost like a drug....I absolutely love 90% of ZTs and swore the 0452WBW would be my last....now they come out with the 0808BLK (which is one of my favorites) and Idk if I have the willpower to not buy it. I have the regular 0808 but I LOVE the look of the blacked out version, idk if I can resist. I’ll probly end up buying it and selling something else to fund it. Knife addiction has hit me hard (about 10k), and I’m not rich but I can’t help myself when a sprint-run comes out and it’s one of my favorite designs.

And I’ve told myself “this is the last knife I’m
gonna buy” probly a dozen times. Lol. I don’t really collect anything now except for knives.

I haven't told myself that yet. I did with guns and I essentially bought about one firearm over about a 5 year span versus my high point where I might buy 2-4 guns on the same day at shows. I attended shows at least once a month. The key has been not going to shows and I know they aren't what they used to be. So, the attraction is not as great.

If anyone here, especially regulars, want to stop, you're probably going to have to wean yourself off BF. You certainly don't want to visit big knife stores or shows.
