I've been searching for Emerson knives and can't find them in stock at knifeworks/newgraham
I don't feel like paying extra money on other sites so I wanted to know how often they come back in stock at knifeworks or at newgraham?

btw, I'm waiting for the CQC-8 or the CQC-mini 8
thanks

The knives are made in batches, and individual dealers do not get priority (as I understand it)

All this reads as good luck, because many people here would like to buy them at the lowest possible price as well. Its best to either get on a waiting list for a model, or buy from a dealer that has them in stock. There are plenty of horsemen out there at other dealers though for not a lot more...

What the others said.

I talked to Roger at KW recently and they really don't do "want lists" anymore, got too confusing. They have pretty much switched to pending items being done useing pre-order.
Not sure how well that works with Emerson, I've gotten the impressiion the dealers don't know when things are going to show up, just happy when they do. :D
You'd probaby have better luck with New Graham. They don't seem to mind doing the want list thing, which really must be a pain to keep up with, but typical of NGK customer service (Not hat Roger and KW aren't excellent also).

I'd guess there are probably others if you check around.

Dont hold your breath.... from what I have been able to gather, Emerson has a list of prestige dealers and they get preference on any new stock. KW and NGK arent on that list. Even so, CQC-8s seem to be very thin on the ground, even with these people. I have been looking for a PE stonewashed one for over a year now. They are seldom seen and when they do pop up, usually with a certain e-bay store, the price is premium.

Annie at NGK told me they were a prestige dealer and that they had an order in with Emerson. When they get them they get them is basically what it amounts to. This was last Friday when I was up there.

thanks guys,
I will look into New Graham wait listing thing and see if I can get in line.
anyway, I'm not in a hurry so I'll probably just checking back again 12 weeks later. (thanks Nathan)

General Knife Discussion is for discussing the knives themselves.
FEEDBACK is for discussing deals and dealers.

If Annie tells you something, you can pretty much take it to the bank, she knows her stuff.
Wish I lived as close as you, I'd be by there every month...and a lot broker. :D

I asked Mary Emerson about this at a knife show here a couple of weeks ago, she said that the move to a new manufacturing facility put them behind on filling orders. As mentioned, Emersons were never plentiful to begin with, I hope that they can somewhat catch up eventually as I have been looking for a SF CQC-8 also as well as a Roadhouse.
