Where are the Aqua Salts???

Howdy all! First time poster (in the Spyderco Forum), long-time Spyderco owner/user, great topic, love the show! I just wanted to chime in and state that I, too, am eagerly looking forward to the release of the Aqua Salt utility knives. I've had my eyes on those since seeing the pics on the Spyderco website forums from the Amsterdam meet. Great stuff!

Can't wait for these to hit the market.... looking at Wouter's pix, i wonder if beadblasted H-1 would diminish the "easy surface scratching" character of this steel....

While my choice for a whitwater rescue knife has always been a folder, there are some boaters who prefer a fixed blade. The most prolific fixed blades carried for WW rescue don't cut anywhere near a good serrated Spydie, and I see the Aqua Salts as a much better alternative for these people, provided the sheath is PFD friendly. Let me know if you need any input from me, Sal.

Hi Mike,

The sheath tooling is finished. It is a basic sheath and should fit many applications and situations. Like many new products, I'm sure improvements will be possible.

Once the model is out and being used, I'm sure there will be suggestions for improvements from many areas; White water, Diving, Commercial fishing, boating.

I will be listening. Then we begin the "refinement" process.
