Lets start a "what are you doing this weekend?" thread, like they have in the Around the Grinder sub forum.

Planning out a trip for this weekend. Saturday, I'll be at Scott's campout/shop tour, maybe Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon however, and most of Monday, I plan on running the roads, so I can walk the trails:D:foot:. However, where do I go? I'd like to visit the mountains of eastern WV, or check out the Delaware bay's NJ coast line. Maybe even spend some time along the Chesapeake bay. I'll probably spend Sunday afternoon running around Wrightsville and Columbia PA, along the Susquehanna. Or ride down to the eastern shore and roam the state parks and state forests (expect Bigfoot sightings on the news, my beard is getting bushy again).:confused::confused:

What are your plans?

This weekend even though it's a 3 day er for me I gotta stay around home, so I'll probably just do a little hiking in my woods. The wife has to go to the legislature on Sunday and I plan on catching the Mountain Stage Show that day

HOWEVER the next weekend we are taking Friday and Monday off and going backpacking. I think we're going to the Cranberry Wilderness.

spending time in archives doing research.

also reading alot in the library for another research paper.

cram for a midterm?

the joys of a university student :D

problem is procrastination is a big issue as this is the view from my desk in the library:

hope you guys have a happy thanksgiving.

I'm going camping in the Catskills this weekend. Leaving Friday morning and returning Monday. The forecast originally called for rain but it's changed to sun all weekend.

I can't wait to hit the trails ..... hope you all enjoy yours.

JC I couldn't take that. It's hard enough here in Nebraska, which isn't all that exciting to most folks.

My plans for the weekend are: Homework and studying until my eyes bleed, then I'll be almost half done!

I'm not sure. I know I might head over to Big Bear Mountain where they have ski lifts operating on the weekends for hikers/mountain bikers. It's $20 for an all day pass and I would wouldn't have to ride up hill yessss:p Just down hill riding and ride the lifts back up oh joy:D I could use the exercise. I have a friend up in San Fran now and could visit him whenever. Could be fun to go to a Chop Fest with other Hog's once my NMFBM's show up:D Not sure what I will do.

3-day weekend in south-eastern Oklahoma. Cleaning up a campsite and spending some time in the woods!

i'll be sticking around here, i have a 5 Kilometer race on saturday that i'm still not sure i will attend...

i think i will take a long bike ride either on saturday or on sunday...i'm thinking around 45 miles...

i'd love to get in a nice little dayhike one of these days though.

i'm off starting tomorrow because of the way the school schedule works out...so i have a 5 day weekend. even if i do nothing i will be happy.

Pardon my ignorance, but up here in Canada, it's Thanksgiving. What holiday is it in the U.S.?

Doc

Columbus Day.

I expect to see plenty of pics from the upcoming long weekend. I haven't decided if I'm going to hit the trails or take the boat out for a few hours of large mouth fishing.

I need to strectch my legs so it'll probably be the trail.

Be safe everyone.

Well, not really a long weekend for me, but Sunday I'm heading down to Panama City Beach for two weeks. We've got reservations for a place right on the beach, so I'm really looking forward to kicking back and relaxing with my toes in the surf, a cold drink in one hand and my new Nitecore D10 in the other (and a knife in my pocket, I'm hoping to find a Vic Farmer in a local shop while I'm down there). :D

Expect plenty of pics, and I'll have wireless internet there, which is a big improvement on the dial-up connection I have here at home, so you probably won't really see any less of me. :p

I'm coming from work on the eve on the long weekend, doing the dishes, drinking beer, cleaning up, drinking beer, taking the garbage out, drinking beer, prepping for the next days hike (this involves drinking beer and trying to figure out which knife ("knife' HAHAHAHA, just one? HAHAHHA) to take.

in the morning its cowboy coffee, hot shower, feed the wee fat ornery cat and leave the key with the neighbour so fatcat can be fed his mushy meat in the evening.

Then i am getting the hellO out of this godforsaken hellOhole called vancouver.
