Where Did You Get Your User-Name/Handle?

I was a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, AKA "Doc", Navy Enlisted Code 8404. For those unfamiliar with military jargon, that means I was a combat medic with a Marine Corps infantry unit....but don't tell anyone I used the word "medic"

My nick is a subtle critique of the catholic tradition, and a homage to my own. My name is Loke, and I'm a protestant, so I believe that all people are equal before God, and I don't believe that there are just an elected few that are saints. That is, I believe every man can, and should be a saint. So why not me?

A CNC Machinist/programer in the aeropsace industry. Toolsteel is one of the materials I machine along with aluminum, plastics and titanium. Some parts I machined are actually on planet Mars. Pretty cool!

That is awesome!

When I first opened an account I used a handle that i'd been using since playing the Counterstrike mod in '99. But it was deemed unacceptable to the great and powerful mods so I came back with the most innocuous name I could think of :)

LOL, Is this ChiefSlappa?

So I love this thread. Growing up my buddies and I just constantly and unrelentingly made yo mama jokes. To this day, I can't let one go. If you set me up, I'll relate it to your Mother, in a completely honorable way.

Mine's super easy because I am an un-imaginative bastard: Initials and DOB (date of birth). Boom, done.

Well... Besides knives, fishing makes my heart tick just a little extra... And then the Northern Pike is the top choice.. In latin the Nothern Pike is the "Esox lucius" and my year is 1974.....

My grandmother had a copy of Webster's 1913 International Dictionary. The last word in it is zyzzogeton. My last name starts with "z". I've been using zzyzzogeton since my first online name back in the old BBS days. I still have the dictionary, although a few pages disappeared over the years.

From Star Trek The Next Generation, when Captain Picard was assimilated by the Borg Collective and turned into Locutus. But most of you already knew that.

First initials of everybody in my house (including the 2 cats)
Adam- me
Robin- wifey
Sarah- 1st born genius
Katherine- named after her late grandmommy
Rockwell- aka Buddy Boy
Gloria- aka Kitty Girl

I used to race motorcycles. The last one was called a Hayabusa. It means Peregrine Falcon. One day at the track, one of the Dunlop Tire reps gave me a free set of tires and called me a "Damn Falconer" on the track. It stuck and people started calling me "Falconer". I'm an action sports photographer and when it came time for a business name I chose Falconer Photo.

I am not real creative in this department. Mine was my call sign in the Army and my initial entry class date. I had to come up with something when I got on the internet in 1993 or 1994 and it was easy to remember. ..

Many years ago, I drove truck long haul for several years...my CB handle was Rapidroach. As I got a little older, computers/internet came around, I had to have a handle for emails and usernames, so I shortened it to Rapid1. Partly because it didn't really fit anymore but mostly so I wouldn't have to explain it to my boys. LOL
