Where Did You Get Your User-Name/Handle?

I shortened up Tee Eye Guy to Tiguy because I have a Titanium collection including some Titanium knives.

My first post was going to be a question about maintaining a whetstone, but that was taken, so i added the number of my favorite hockey player from when i was young. My dad would take me to Blues hockey games as a kid, we had some great times at those games

I'm into old cars. Specifically old fords and mostly mustang. The 289 motor was predecessor for the 302(5.0). I took a 289 out of a 66 Stang, taught myself how to work on it. 3 years or so ago I dropped it back into my car and it ran. Runs well and and sounds mean with close to 400hp. I consider it pretty lethal. In fact most of my friends just call the car the lethal 289.

Mine's motor inspired as well. My first car was a 67 Fairlane with a 390... tons of torque. My second motorcycle was a Buell S2... tons of torque. I've always been a big block, v-twin, torque over horsepower kinda guy. I'm just "Torque" on some forums, but when that handle is taken I use "FullyTorque."
Side note; "Fully Torqued" was also a term coined on the tv show Workaholics, but they're not refering to motors.

'Cause this one was already taken.

Real story: I was born in NH, grew up in NY in a city with the same name as where I was born in NH. Been living in NH for more than 1/2 my life now. This state never left me. Then there was a (minor) YouTube hit send-up of "New York State of Mind" called "Granite State of Mind" and I decided to be lazy and try that first rather than all the other ones that are taken or land me in a contact list for some headhunter lady in TX. I get resumes sent to me, things I'm 'sposed to bring to the ball game (1500 miles away!) and vacation plans, all for the difference of one letter and a lot of people that don't check themselves.

This is the first forum I've joined - lots of great commentary, ideas and opinions; awesome community. I was trying to decide on a big fixed blade knife to buy myself for my birthday and this forum, this sub-forum made the choice clear. I went for the 9 first, 'cause you can't not have a 9.

I'm originally from S. La. and a fan of the New Orleans Saints (season tickets with my Dad from their first season until I moved to NM). Hence Saintly (the Saints) Brees (Drew, the team's QB).

A buddy of mine introduced me to the BK 14-EsKabar. Before I knew it I got 3 fixed blades in 3 weeks, hence the name.

My story is lame
My name is Nikki, my last name starts with an R. Boom. NikkiR.
Usually my handle is yetirage, because I'm from Alaska, tall and have big feet, people started calling me yeti. Buuut, just thought I would go by my actual name this time around.
Whew! Glad its not because you look like a yeti....

I have been a few names on different forums. Galaktus on Cold Steel Forums, Magog at BCUSA, oh hell, I forget if I'm a member of any other forums. I had just gotten CS spike hawk, so I figured, why not?
I occassionally lurk other forums, zombiesquad, edcforums, but very quickly lose interest in them, never thought about joining them.

New here, so hello all. Name is Bryan, and I used to be in a touring band and didn't have a "home" for about 3 years, so I migrated around couches all over Wisconsin and Michigan. Hence Nomad. Also the name I use on my knives. WIP threads to come!

Well, I like sharks and I search/collect fossil shark teeth. Galeocerdo is a type of shark, namely the Tiger Shark. I like Tiger Sharks. They pretty much eat everything. There's not a whole lot out there that I don't like to eat either. Plus, they're badass. And their teeth are cool.
Since Galeocerdo was often taken on fora, I just added shark at the back one time and kept doing so.

Nope, don't look like a yeti...but we have similar tracks...

Years ago I practically lived to hunt deer. If wasn't hunting, I was practicing with my longbow, rifle or flintlock. I also scouted out new areas or looking for antler sheds. . The guys I hunted with took to calling me mossy horn and it kind of stuck.

Years ago, around 1999 or so I used to play the game "runescape". One of my friends gave me an account with the name of "Diablo_331". Needless to say, the handle stuck and I now use it all over the Internet on countless forums. I'm also a retired Marine so it kinda fits lol.

Mine is from my time in military. Hawk590 hawk was the air defense system I worked on and my class date. Then Hawk became my call sign after the system was dropped by army and i had to reclass to new MOS.

A friend started calling me a Yeti because i am tall ,and i have long hair and a long beard . stuck MI in front of it because i live in Michigan and could not think of anything better lol .

Well if you must know I just made up this name a loooong time ago in high school and it was my nickname for everything after that (not supposed to be a dirty name). People mistake the name fingerjonsin for something dirty and its not supposed to be just a funny name i made years ago and has stuck, some people call me jonsin(johnson) or finger, or FJ, and some people call me just by my last name "Mora" as in mora knives. Pretty awesome i never knew my last name was the same as the most high value knives on earth.
