Where do you draw the line ?

I just got a Strider PT in a trade, and will be buying a custom chopper the end of the month(knife, not a bike ;)). The PT is my new EDC, and the chopper will be put to good use clearing brush etc. The PT's list for 300 brand new, the custom will cost me 300. My wish list includes knives I will use that cost between 200 and 350. I'm a little apprehensive about hard using any Sebbies I will be getting. I own two Rats, a Bog Dog and a Battle Rat that I use, the BR was already used when I bought it, the Bog Dog was in pretty much minty fresh condition. After I get a Camp Tramp, I will begin my INFI oddyssey!

Its taken a lot to actually use a 300 dollar knife, but I think I can get up to using a 500 production or custom knife. Any more than that and I think I would have an aneurysm.

David E,

In SoCal I like to go to a place up near Big Bear, called Fillaree Flats.

It is along the Santa Ana river about 4,500 foot elvevation just before the gorge.

About a 2 mile walk after you park your car, easy to get to, all downhill.

But then you get to walk back to your parking spot afterwards.

Plenty of giant acorn Oaks and a place where the Natives pounded them in holes in a big flat rock, some deer and a few Black Bears.

Oh yah, there are also 16 inch Smart Trout in the stream there.
