Where do you keep your EDC's? Do they make a display box anywhere?

I have toyed with the idea of storing them in a pelican case, but I like being able to see all my knives without having to pull them out.

I bought four jewelry trays from the Container Store. They are lined in velvet on the inside and vinyl on they outside, I think they look great. I currently store them in my nightstand drawer. But, when I get a safe in the near future they will probably be moved in there. I like that they can be stacked which allows you to store them in a variety of different ways. I added some non slip liner to the bottom so they don't move around when I close and open my drawers. Each tray holds about 5 knives, which I like because it allows me to store/display my knives in groups. For example this one is my EDC tray:

Yeah, I know. :)

But you know what? I'm hearing so much squabble and conflict around here in regard to the term "every day carry/EDC" I'm about to start a thread:

Some think of "every day" as literal---if it isn't in your pocket every consecutive day with no skips it isn't an EDC.

Others, myself included, see it as "everyday," meaning nothing more than 'commonplace' (i.e. commonly carried) or 'usual' (carried frequently), more a description of a knife itself than frequency of carry.

It's entirely viable to have a group of knives one carries the most, or at least often, and refer to them as EDC's.

Is that really so hard to grasp?

Yeah, I kinda have to go with you on this one. I mean, if we're using a stringent definition of "carries every day" for EDC, then the honest answer is that I don't have a single EDC knife. LOL

What's that box made from, lignum vitae?

Didn't think a wooden box could contain the jarbenza.

No it's lined with Graphene it was dulling all my other knives. My watch stopped running the compass is now pointing east.

Storage, yes. Display, no.

True, I guess. I was going on the "see them all in one place" part of the OP's post.

Fwiw, everything in that box gets carried. Some more than others but technically all of those are in the "rotation".

I believe his point is that it's not really an "EDC" if it spends its time sitting in a box. ;)

Yes. For me the the ethos of EDC is Always Be Prepared.

If I have to get up at 03:00 and the power's out or I just don't want the lights on my stuff is rigged out and ready to roll.

Pointy stuff that I'm not carrying is in a safe place close at hand & not visible or easily accessed by anyone but me.

I keep my EDC's in my pocket (Buck 301 and 389) and in a belt sheath (Buck 110) I don't notice them when sleeping.

Knife pajamas!

A whole new marketing sensation. Branding, colurways, I"m nearly beside myself with excitement.

Cigar box with a viewing rectangle cut out and replaced with lexan glued to the inside of the remaining lid.
You can etch the lexan with an acid for any effects or logos you would like to add for effect or sorting purposes.

I get a warm fuzzy feeling every time I see someone else with one of André's knives:) I've saw yours before, but the feeling remains the same!

I keep my productuon knives in a plastic storage bin, and my favorite customs either stay in their pouch/box or I keep them out on my night stand where I can enjoy them as eye-candy:D

I don't smoke cigars, but found this humidor suitable for my edc.
The wood looks good, has storage under the panel, and is lockable.

I keep mine in a plastic tackle box, hidden away in a closet. When I get ready to switch knives I pull the box out and take the next one in line.
