On a trunk thats about 4 feet from my bed. I only have the 20in AK though. As soon as I get the money though I will have to talk to you about a 12 or 15 inch AK though.

thanks and take care

I usually keep the boxes Bill sends them in and store the khukhuri's in them. These are the khukhuri's that I don't use as much.

BAS (rarely used)
17.5" WWII model (wish I could use more often)
22" Ang Khola (sometimes used for exercise, always accompanies me when I expect chopping or splitting, another I wish I could use more often)
15" Ang Khola reject (under my bed, often used for exercise)

15" Ang Khola (gun safe)
CS Gurkha (gun safe)
GH No. 1 Service Model (somewhere in my mess)

Much more frequently used khukuri's

Villager (backpack)
16.5" WWII model (backpack or beside my bed, almost always accompanies me during travel)

Well, I just moved mine around so I will edit my post to reflect that. If you notice their are fewer khuks, it is because I sent one BAS back to Uncle and have one designated to give as a birthday gift to a close friend of mine -- not a knife knut, but a man who appreciates fine things (he is a stamp collector/dealer, after all). Anyways, i think he will appreciate the finer points of the BAS.

It depends on my mood for the day. One thing is constant though. I almost always have one close at hand wherever I am!

As soon as I get my villager back (lent it to my father in law) I think it will live in the truck.

Good luck getting your villager back, Jaeger. I bought one to carry in my truck, but when my wife saw it she said, "Everyone in the family has a khukuri but me." What could I do? It lives under her side of the bed now.

*******

By the way, interesting name. It reminds me of a story…

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that the teller's name is Patricia Whack. So he says, "Ms. Whack, I'd like to get a loan to buy a boat and go on a long vacation."

Patti looks at the frog in disbelief and asks how much he wants to borrow.

The frog says $30,000. The teller asks his name, and the frog says that his name is Kermit Jaeger and that it's OK, he knows the bank manager.

Patti explains that $30,000 is a substantial amount of money and that he will need to secure some collateral against the loan. She asks if he has anything he can use as collateral.

The frog says, "Sure. I have this," and produces a tiny pink porcelain elephant, about half an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed. Very confused, Patti explains that she'll have to consult with the manager, and she disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, "There's a frog called Kermit Jaeger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000. And he wants to use this as collateral." She holds up the tiny pink elephant. "I mean, what the heck is this?" So the bank manager looks back at her and says:

"It's a knickknack, Patti Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a Rolling Stone."

I thought it amusing,Howard. Thanks to Clay for running with my implicit question.

I find the wit, congeniality, politeness, humor, and perhaps most of all, kindness, displayed on our forum to be almost unbelieveable but infinitely appreciated.

Ghostsix, the Maccha is the "fish" khukuri that is in the brochure (I don't believe it is on the website anymore) The handle and scabbard are horn, shaped to look like a fish. Pull on the tail and out comes a khukuri, I am guessin 9" to 12" (Bill?)

It is a beautiful piece. The khukuri blade is lithe and quick. Oh and it has the beautiful scrollwork like the BAS. I love it!

I have some digital pix of it. I will post them if I can ever get them off the darn camera...

Maccha has same blade or close enough, as baby Sirupati.

Found my G.H. Khukhuri, also under my bed.

They are not stored there for easy access as weapons. Just a convient location that is out of sight. Also, have a WWII era coincidence range finder under my bed.
