Where do you keep your Khukuris?

All I have under my bed is a guitar case and occasionally a cat and/or dog

Will, do you keep them out of sight because you are worried about theft? I am just curious because I am the opposite -- I like to display them when they are not in use.

Well since we only have two "Real ones" at the moment, the villager is beside me and the 15" Ang Khola that I gave to my sweety is on the shelf next to her side of the bed. When I get the 18" AK it will reside on my side of the bed when I am not using, fondling or playing with it.

The Big Moro sword is hanging on the kitchen, dining room wall. There are several other assorted knives and Tomahawks hanging and lurking in wait all around the house.

As well as the Masai spear and my "coup" stick that has the 9" solid bronze tip on it.

Clay,

I'm with Bill, it is a good place for storage (a bit dusty). Also, new visitors might be alarmed by large knives.

Is that a 1921.1921 A with the Blish system or a M1928 straight blowback, or an M1?

Didn't we do this Thompson Q&A once before? If Rusty has a model 1921 I want to be his best friend. Even if he has a 1928 or
1928A-1 I STILL want to be his best friend. And if he has an M-1 or M1A1 the best friend thing holds. Especially if I can go deep in the desert with his chopper and a truckload of .45 ball.
This is officially a non-khukuri reponse.

I do not hear any trump for my LAW,perfectly lawfull for me, or cannon.

I have my AK and Sirupati in a duffle bag tucked way. My small villager is at camp in Maine. My new villager is sitting on a rack next to a rack for my wooden training weapons. My wife does her work in that room and tends be nervous about edged implements. She hasn't complain about the new villager yet. I will consult with her about the possibility of making a rack to hold about 5 or 6 khukuris horizonatally in their sheaths and have it mounted on the wall in that room. If she agrees, then I just have to order several more khukuris to fill out the rack.

Well, been moving mine around again. The maccha and my new 20" sirupati are in the living room on different walls. I think the 16.5" WWII is going to go on the bedroom wall. Trying to figure out a way to display Hanuman sitting up. The 18" WWII is probably going in the truck and the villager stays where it is on the porch! Don't know where the BAS is going to go...

Clay, your stashing of khukuris reminds me a bit of Kami Sherpa's farm or ranch or whatever you want to call it. There were a dozen or so khukuris placed at strategic locations all over the place -- no two together.

That's what I was going for, Uncle.

A friend once teased me that, at any time, you couldn't be further away than 2 feet from a flashlight in my apartment. Kinda going for that same think with khukuris...

Clay, your method certainly saves carrying khukuris. As I recall not one of Kami's khukuris up on the ranch even had a scabbard. No need for one. You never had to carry the khukuri more than a few steps.
