Where do you keep your knives?

As my collection grows I need to find a better way to keep and display my knives. Most of my knives are kept locked away but about 20-25 edc type blades sit, spine up, packed in a wooden box on my bed side table. This way, in the mornings I just take my pick as I get dressed for the day.
How do you all keep your multiple edc blades?

Generally, I only carry one edc...same one every day. CRK Umnumzaan. For me, this IS the knife. Any others are kept in the safe for gift/sale/trade purposes.

Traditionally, I've only rotated 2-3 knives for EDC, but right now I'm in the honeymoon phase with my first Sebenza, so the others are collecting dust. I have a 2 year old, so gone are the days when all my toys are left laying around the house for my enjoyment. I've got a few in a basket up on the kitchen bar where I keep my wallet, flashlight, sunglasses, things like that. The rest are locked away in fireproof filing cabinet in our home office.

I have a Spyderco Spyderpac hanging in my closest that holds all the folders I use and carry, love that thing, makes it so easy to swap out knives and have them displayed neatly. Collectibles are in the safe and fixed blades are sort of scattered around in drawers or packed away with other gear.

Plano tackle boxes, not the prettiest but $ for $ you can't beat them for storage, they're even adaptable/adjustable to sit the size knives your storing, they'll fit most folders in the drawers and the top can usually take most medium fixed blades. They're tough, light weight, lockable, (basically to keep honest people honest and little fingers from getting into trouble. :) )

Boxed ones are in the closet. Users on my dresser. Ones without boxes are under my computer desk right now. Don't really have a way to display them

In a drawer in the china hutch, in the top of my closet, a couple in the medicine cabinet, a few in the garage, and some in a display case.... Basically everywhere!

Hey powernoodle - nice setup man!

I was thinking of having my buddy bring back one of these when he comes back from the States. Price is reasonable at $80 and I think it would show off my knives well.

I've posted this pic many times before, but this is what my stash looked like before I got the Sears tool chest. A big plastic bin full of knives.
